Dixie explores the Big Apple and hikes through to Connecticut. Piroj: I MISS NEW YORK! Thanks for those amazing images Dixie. and yes, the subway system can get pretty hectic. lol glad to hear you came across kind. people. I didn't have any luck like that yesterday and today but regardless, I ran into a majot issue and am now having to turn back around and start again. I'm going tomorrow to see family members for a while and then I'm going to Greyhound. btw, I believe in energy and spiritual guidance and I truly believe I was destined to follow your vlogs. I hope my destint is to one day meet you as well. I may need your advice to hit the AT next year. Also, Rebel Yell has amazing friends and family. You're an AMAZING woman: )

Can't help but look at the polar opposites shown in this VBLOG I've been to both worlds, both many times, if given the choice as to where I would have to spend the rest of my life, I'll meet you on the trail. But thats just me. Don't get me wrong, I truly love NY! Go there all the time, But I'd rather be on the trail. keep trekkin!

If I'm not mistaken, it shows West Point then you crossing from NJ to NY. -- its almost father's Day 2018 and if your father were alive he might say things like Don't wear ear buds in bear country, don't hike at night (not long anyway ) and be careful hitchhiking -possibly the riskiest activity of all.

You know. Ive been following you since the first step and I have to say. It's been amazing just watching you. You are going to have an AWESOME documentary of your journey to show your kids when your nice and old which is AMAZING. Thank you for letting us all in on your journey.

I started watching you recently and seems like quite often you leave shit behind, ha! Also your southern accent sometimes comes out and it cracks me up at times. :) Love your videos and looking forward to watching more of your journey.

What an amazing first time experience! Getting to see New York like that is phenomenal. All the places I'd go if I only had a weekend. You have the best luck. Enjoy it rather than let it frustrate you. Good luck catching your friends.

Great story! NYC, wowee! Youse guys (Easton, PA speak for RY) saw a lot, hurray! So hike AT for solitude and end up in NYC, uh, I really look forward to following you on the PCT to see if solitude is redefined.

It took me a while to find this video, but I'm glad you found your wallet! Olivia and I were happy to help out and now we are inspired to do some trail magic next summer and maybe a section hike!

hehe, you'd lost everything when you were on your own. man, how can you be so forgetful? did you have other people reminding you of your stuff all the time? ;-)

Probably in the Whites now. Just the Notch, the Wilderness, and Katahdin. Might just get this Bama grad to say those three words.
