Update 31: Go Follow Your Dreams!
video description
So if you have read this far.
I want to give a shout out to those young men and women with jobs, children, schedules, routine, and circumstances preventing them from doing something as expensive, non-essential, and off the radar as thru-hiking. Know that you will be blessed with happy days, perhaps with children, and grandchildren, and certainly with a life well-lived. Your time will come.

6: 04 mark, Johnny Cueto on TV vs the Red Sox! Love it. The year KC Royals won the W. S, 2015! First since 1985. .
I'm going backwards btw. I watched CDT first, PCT second, & now this one. The Mount Whitney & the immediate following, 17 & 18 of PCT are my favorites! I think ive heard you reference The Sound of Music three or four times on this trail. I think when you referenced it in Washington State or Oregon, it was the most fitting with the flowers & snow. Keep hiking & stay safe! Will

After watching your amazing PCT hike last year, I am now catching up with the AT adventure. Yes, you've inspired me, too, and I have been slowly accumulating equipment for some hiking along the Colorado Trail and smaller trails scattered among the mountains. Yesterday, I purchased a bear vault. That made my day and was a real, tangible proof that the dream of getting back outdoors is becoming real. Thank you!

Lately, I've been going through a hard part of my life and have recently overcome some obstacles (still a few more to go. Now I've finally decided: Spring 2018, I am hiking this trail!

With all the precautions taken to hang food in trees away from bears and animals what stops animals from getting into those coolers of trail magic? Seems like they'd be really easy to turn over. Are they somehow secured or locked? Also, is there some sort of unwritten trail rule to where hikers only take what they need and not just grab everything?

Ive wondered why in america u have to filter all the water? Is there a reason behind it like polution or dead animals or preditors or something. In aussie land we just drink anything wet. it seems like most of the rivers u cross are from snow melt, isnt that ok to drink?
