It's a picnic compared to the kinds of things you do, but I was once doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge - three hills, 24 miles, and around 1, 600 metres of ascent in 10 hours - and whilst plodding my way up the second hill I got 'the grand old duke of York' stuck in my head. At one point I realised I was singing it out loud, and that passers-by were giving me strange looks and a wide berth. Couldn't get the damn thing out of my head for the rest of the day.

These videos are such a delight. The editing is getting really good, I'm loving the inserts of the random beauty and wildlife you see along the trail, but most of all, I'm continuing to enjoy learning what a lovely person you are inside. The editor's wrap up on this episode just highlights that. Good job, both of you.

Hi Dixie! I know it's nowhere near as long or hardcore as the pct or the at at just 196 miles but have you ever thought about coming over to rainy old England and doing the coast to coast walk or the penine way at 260 miles? Both are incredible experiences I'm looking to do this year and next. :)

I am a bike rider, and I have paniers, and I always keep an umbrella with me. One time I swear I thought I was going to die. I overheated, and there was no shade. Lucky I had an a couple of extra bottles of water, and I dumped one over my head. I will now always have shade.

Safety note! Just an FYI really, taking allergy medicine and exercising in the heat increases your risk for heat exhaustion/stroke greatly because most of those meds will slow or stop your ability to sweat. Consult a Medical Doctor, which I'm not.

omg the whole why don't you just get an uber actually made me crease! I'm from Trewern in Wales (uk) and if you want to get to town to get food you have to drive. Buses only come two times a day (not on sunday) and with a 5 hour gap between buses

Went on a family trip to NM for two weeks in 2016 and we used umbrellas and they worked great, the ones we used were just cheap ones you buy in department stores but they worked great, it was over a 100 degrees on many of our hikes. take care

I can definitely feel the progression of your cinemaphotogrophy skills in your pct videos over the AT series. not that I didn't love those videos as well but it's just cool to see. Thanks for the amazing videos!

I've done the Superstitions (AZ) from many sides, many trails, many times - - this reminds me of the rush. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful video for those of us who probably won't get there.

This will probably never be seen, but just in case. Glaucoma is treatable. There is a variety of eye drops for use alone or in combination. An eye specialist is what is needed
