It's wonderful to see you and your mother enjoying your time together, it makes me remember the great times I had with my mother while we didn't hike together we did go on lots of trips, she's been gone three years now, she was my best friend and it looks as if your mom is yours, it just makes me happy to see you two together, always cherish these times with your mom.

We parents are so proud of you, Dixie! Taking your Mom on a hike of this magnitude is something I wish more kids would do. My siblings and I miss our Dad very much. Our fishing trips and short hikes were such a valuable part of our life memories. Fancy obviously loves the snow. so much fun to watch her. Well done!

I am glad you and your mom are having a great time. Hopefully, Therm-a-rest will take care of your situation ASAP. I'm pretty sure many people called them up with future concerns of buying their product after hearing your dilemma. I know, because I was one of them. As always, Dixie, great video.

Hello I want to say I watch you all the time I dream one day I get to do the triple crown but I am commenting to tell you a way to cool your dog is on the belly and ears if you put water on there back you cook them. You are awesome and congrats on the triple crown.

I dont think a dog can keep up the same pace as a human can, plus, it can have totally unexpected health problems, that would end your trip fast. I see next video addresses this will watch it too.

Has any one gotten a good experience with the Therm A Rest uberlite? All I have heard and seen is bad and I am about to leave with it for a 1 month hike.

This is when trainers are really inappropriate for hiking. Walking boots would make mincemeat of this soft snow, rocky paths and shallow streams.
