6: 37 I wish VW would make available a power adjustable steering wheel. That's about the only luxury feature its missing at this point. Even though they're not typically added to this level of car (I think Kia Sorento offers it. I'd tick that option box.
On the negative side, they give us that clunky hard package shelf instead of the folding one you can store inside the car rather than leaving it at home. From what I can tell, there is also space for a full-size spare.
7: 10 the recline may not matter across town. But it will on an all-day cross country road trip. Rear seat passenger will pray the seat could recline even a few degrees. Not sure why North American lost the sliding/reclining rear seats. One of VWs perennial best features.
I couldn't help but notice you left out the dynamic dampers (DCC) which is something else, the VW offers that none of those named competitors have.
PS VW has not revealed whether it will offer a true Tiguan R like it did the last generation or whether it will come to North America. The longer wheelbase Tiguan from the last generation never got that upgrade.
They did say the hybrids will come later, but without any specific date. BTW, VW did have a coupified/off-road version of this car on the drawing board during its development. However, I haven't read nor heard anything about that models since.

I'm confused on the 1500-1800 towing capacity lol. That has to be a joke. At least half of that will be taken up by passengers, cargo, and other junk in the car. The Audi Q5 with a 2-3in longer wheelbase but the same hp and 30lb ft more torque can tow 4400lbs. And that also uses a 7 speed DCT like this vehicle. I'm confused on what the weak link of this vehicle is. I'm going to guess cooling and maybe it needs a stiffer suspension
Either way something like a Ford Escape can tow up to 3500lbs.

I’ll be honest, for once their exterior designs look more innovative than their peers. Where as Subaru, Toyota, and Honda have gone to the edge with their divorced headlights and strange curves, this design looks more intentional. The same can be said for the new Audis. I think what I’m saying is, I’m a fan of the new design philosophy.

I don't like the marketing teams that spec the trims out. A Golf GTI S, the lowest trim, has a heated steering, but you say for this you need to spec it out highly to get a heated steering wheel I guess you're just going to need to buy the steering wheel with heating and wire in a new fuse like you would with a Honda Civic.

Same interior materials as an Audi Q5 with a more pleasing layout. Still wish it had physical controls but much nicer than the Audi. Really speaks to how garbage the Audi Q5 interior is. I do appreciate the separate steering control buttons here as opposed to the to the big block button on the Audi

We hava a 2022 Tiguan, going to keep it for a while & maybe trade it in for something else, honestly, the loss of buttons, piano black use & no hybrid gives us reason not to get back to the Tiguan.
We never use the 3rd row, good riddance, the 2017 Tiguan has better memories.

Modern VWs tend to be really well equipped at all trims, and this looks to be no exception. But I'm surprised that this redesign does not include more physical buttons, since VW made a big point of saying that they will be updating their cars for that purpose.

The trunk might be bigger below the cover, but it makes me wonder how it works in real life without the cover.
Forester has a good visibility, so the devider is low. The rear glass is almost vertical and tall items can be stacked very close to the edge.

Sucks that they got rid of the 40/20/40 folding rear seat and went with a 60/40 split. I put 4 skiers in a 2024 rental Tiguan with all their gear and skis down the middle and eveyone have a nice seat was aweosme. That feature alone put the VW to the top.

Hopefully, they will offer some kind of 'trail sport' model. The 2 liter turbo engine is appreciated over the very weak 1. 5 used in the Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain. Unfortunately, like the GM twins, no hybrid is offered.

Saw one of these in person at an auto show earlier this year. It's every bit as premium as it seems. I love my 2019 Jetta SEL Premium, but this new Tiguan has me intrigued and tempted to make a move, tariffs notwithstanding. :)

These screens are ridiculously big. Just use a double din slot that's 8 diagonally for Carplay. Everything else: Use a button. We all figured out how an iPod shuffle worked with no visual input.

I want to trade in my 2022 Tiguan R line black but it was just paid off and I love the new one but don’t love to pay again. Oh and the third rows of my Tiguan we used it.

Learn from Alex, you are on camera, grab the wheel like a man not like golden retriever with his paws on the wheel. Or at least don’t show it, is visually annoying

I prefer the front end and rear lights of the lower trim but would like the other bells and whistles. Wish we got the Ultraviolet color of the Tayron in the UK.

Are these reviewers father/son The one at the intro seems to be a father figure to the reviewer who covered the liftgate and the rear lighting and exhaust setup.

People said this looked much nicer than the new Q5 and I didn't believe them. Well they were right, Audi interior looks cheap compared to this.

Remember when the front and back of automobiles had metal bumpers and not plastic mesh Yeah I know, behind $2000 of plastic there is a metal bar.

Honestly I don't even mind the way the cheaper model look (se) still looks nice. Interior looks more expensive than the new Q5. what is going on
