Dont kid yourself. The only reason this brand will never be successful is because of the way Hyundai Motor America has treated its customers. I know - I am one of them. Our 2014 Equus (now called the G90) is our fourth Hyundai. All others were completely reliable, but this one has had quite a few glitches. It has a lot of features, so there is more to break - I understand that and am OK with it. What I am not OK with was the constant fight to get Hyundai to cover warranty issues under warranty. Almost every one was a fight, even though my dealer was on my side and fought them right along with me. For one visit, I had to threaten to file a complaint with the attorney general to get my repairs covered (that total bill was only +/-500. I was out of warranty for less than three months when the engine began to run rough again (yes, again, and they would not make an exception even though I only had 42, xxx miles on it. The problem was only a coil, so that bill would have been

Im sorry how can no one see that Hyundai just messed up from the get go with genesis? First of all the name Its too generic sounding and every time I hear it it sounds like the Bible or a failed game system. and the fact that genesis still used the Hyundai name. They screwed up from the start when they changed the tiburon to the genesis that was the their big mistake. They should not have made the genesis coupe it was the tiburon And it still said Hyundai all over it. And that symbol that moth looking Bentley knock off. Get over yourself Hyundai you should have just made Kia into the luxury brand like Buick is to GM now Just buy an Infiniti because at least they changed the y to an I to keep it symmetrical and that was original and I have a 2012 G25 so Im not getting rid of that anytime soon.

I have a 18 G80 5. 0 htrac ultimate and it is a fantastic car but the dealer network is the worst, because I had to purchase it through Hyundai as a matter of fact it is registered as a Hyundai also on my insurance Card. when my car needs service they are supposed to pick up the car and leave me a loaner, and when I make an appointment there is never a loaner available. as far as complimentary free maintenance they always find a loophole not to honor it. Hyundai dealers do not know how to sell or treat customers on how to sell a premium luxury car. I am constantly on the phone with Genesis motor America trying to get the services they promise and there answer is try another Hyundai Dealership. Genesis has to do better

I bought a 2017 Genesis and while the car is very good, and I have had no major issues, the dealer experience (Hartford) has been terrible. I was promised concierge service for all maintenance, and the dealer never delivered on it. Not once, in spite of repeated calls. First it was that I bought too early and it wasnt set up yet. then it was them being unaware of the program. Fortunately it has not needed major work. As this was a factor in convincing me to buy, I feel like Genesis owes me something for having lied to me about how they would support me after. Ive been buying KIA, Genesis, and Hyundai for a while now, but this dealer experience has basically finished that.

I bought a 2012 Genesis with all the bells and whistles. Im very happy with it 6 years later. I went in to purchase a new 2018 and was faced with a non negotiating dealer. The dealership wanted 10, 000 more for the 2018 than I paid for my 2012. I told them they would never get me to spend that much more for basically the same car I bought 6 years ago. I wound up buying a 2018 Toyota Avalon with all the bells and whistles for 10, 000 less that the 2018 Genesis. I really wanted the 2018 Genesis but the dealer just would not DEAL. Notice to all Genesis dealerships, when it comes to replacing the Avalon guess where Im going?

why is it so complicated in US market? I am Korean and in Korea, there is a exclusive genesis dealer. but only one in Korea. but you can buy and look for the genesis model in all Hyundai dealers in the country. you can have maintenance services at the Hyundai dealer. why does it have to be seperate? I know they have launched a new brand called Genesis butI personally think its like Landrovers and Rangerovers. Both cars have different names at the hoodbut it sells at the same dealerswell rangerovers have landrover badges i know that butI think US markets needs to be generous about Hyundai and Genesis.

Im a G90 owner, love the car. Genesis tried to screw Hyundai dealers by thinking that they would sell the Genny brand from Hyundai dealerships. WRONG. no marketing support, no floor plan, no nothing, so Hyundai dealers told them where to stick it. Now, Genesis has come around and are now selecting certain Hyundai dealers around the country and offering them assistance with building new dealerships, floor plans etc. Look for Genesis dealers to start popping up over the next few years. The dealer I leased mine from is one of those chosen dealers jumping on the Genesis dealer bandwagon.

Remember when in 1990 Toyota introduced the Lexus Ls400 everyone who was rich wanted one. Well history is repeating itself with this Genesis. This car has a great design, front grill is one of a kind, a Genesis staple hopefully. Much better looking than the Merz S class and BMW 7 series. The Genesis has much more to offer for the price, especially if buying a used 2015 Genesis, much more value and reliability than the money pit German rivalsI found a 2015 v6 online with 60k miles for 20k. But I do not like the 2014 design Genesis.

Ales on Autos (not hating just sharing some info w/you) love your reviews. just saw the g70 reviewtheyre is a genesis dealer less than a mile from my house here in miami florida. I bought one last year. I own a 2016 genesis and its an amazing car. Got it on its second year only had 11000 miles, and it is the best car ive ever bought. I know its only a year + but it has left me amazed at what an amazing car /luxury/and performance for such a great price. oh and btw its been there for a couple of years.
