Trying to compare the Gladiator, ZR2, the old'ish/latest TRD Pro and the almost-here Ranger Rebel is a bit like peeling an onion, so keep the reviews coming Alex. Still, I honestly don't see the Taco in the same category as all the others, off-road and normal use, for most larger/taller drivers. 44K+ for an uncomfortable, 'I don't fit' choice - for those drivers - is hard to justify.

I am surprised that almost every auto journalist uses the crawl control incorrectly. The lowest speed crawl is to be used on very hard slow offroad obstacles. If you are just going in a straight line you can use the 5mph option. This will be a lot smoother. I really expect more from you.

Another thing most novice truck owners are going to deal with, is you wont be using crawl control very often, so its quirkiness isnt really even worth worrying about. In fact most people may never use it. Its only used to get you unstuck.

I would definitely release this video Alex. An excellent review - as always I have a sneaky suspicion that once the Ranger Rebel is released, Tacoma TRD Pro could have a viable competitor. However nothing beats Toyota reliability.

Id rather pay more for gas if I know that the Toyota will be reliable. I really dont know how better fuel economy will compensate having to go to the dealer for fixing electrical or infotainment issues in Chevy or Jeep

The payload seems to be false advertising to me, I bought a 2019 Trd with a 6 foot bed. When I put all my options together on the web it said 1125 payload, then when you go to check the door, it says 950 is the limit?

Im a Toyota die hard and it bums me as a 6 ft 4 man I cant fit into a Tacoma or 4Runner. Hope that changes soon because their front seat position is awful.
