Hi Alex, I feel like you are painting a rosy picture about owning a FCEV in this video and I hope you can address the below points in a future video: - You state a few times that the car can be refueled in 5 minutes, just like an ICE car. However, as far as I am aware that is only partially true. Filling stations usually keep a limited amount of hydrogen under pressure because pressure vessels are expensive and difficult to build. Usually, after one or two cars have filled up it will take around half an hour before the pressure has built up again enough for a third car to be fully fueled. So as long as FCEVs are not widespread it is not an issue, but when they become more popular, the refuel times will go up. - You state that one of the big selling points is the range, but from what I can tell, BEVs are currently hitting the same range, so that advantage seems gone. - Owning a FCEV is more like owning an ICE car. But is that really a good thing? I understand that many people are afraid of change and like to stick with what they know. But on a day to day basis, if you plug in your BEV every evening you have a fully charged car every day. With a FCEV you once more need to go to a fuelling station every time to top it up. And those stations will, for most people, not be on their daily routes so they'll have to make a detour just for that. - The cost. As you pointed out, the Nexo is more expensive to own but you get free refueling in your case. However, if you look at the actual cost of refueling you'll notice that a FCEV is more expensive to run than an ICE or BEV. Furthermore, all that money goes to the same companies we are buying fuel from today, a FCEV is keeping is dependent on those companies whereas a BEV would allow us to produce power ourselves. - And finally, how is the hydrogen produced? Hydrogen is usually recovered from other refining processes which makes it not that clean if we have to keep those processes going just to get hyrdogen. If we get hydrogen from water, the efficiency from well to wheel is low that even an ICE would beat it with one hand tied behind its back. At the end of the day I have to say that I love the technology, but I personally would never invest in it since to me it still looks like the worst of both worlds.

I think there's a bubble on battery EVs. Because the demand for battery EVs won't really exist if the battery EV's go more and more expensive. And the lithium-ion battery is experiencing more and more shortage making prices go up. That's why the Soul EV and Audi E-tron got postponed. Current demand for battery EV is mostly based on vehicles such as Model 3, Leaf, Kona EV and so on. Just because ppl found them affordable. Tesla is only surviving because they promised mass production of affordable EV called Model 3 not because they could build some expensive EVs with billions of losses. Every car maker, even Chinese ones can do that if they didn't care about the profit. If Tesla fails to offer that bright future of affordable EVsand ppl realize that battery EV was not quite the possible alternate future for conventional vehicles, that's when the bubble will start to collapse. Maybe it's already started, if you look at the stock price of Tesla going downhill for the past year regardless of the popularity over Model 3Yes. Hydrogen fuel-cells are less efficient and less convenient, but at least they have much more potential to be improved than the battery EV with mass-production and infrastructure.

If I lived in South Korea, I would definitely go H2 as my primary source of transportation. If you think about the geography of S. Korea, H2 makes sense. I googled the distance between Seoul to Busan. Which is the distance between the north west corner of S. Korea to the south east. The two largest major cities. And according to google it's only 202 miles. I think the Nexo could easily cover that with one tankful of H2. And even if you didn't start your trip with a full tank, you can easily fill up at a rest stop along the way. That's because the S. Korean government is hitching their wagon to H2. And besides, the sheer size of the country makes it feasible to implement a H2 infrastructure. And even though Korea is a peninsula with the ocean surrounding it on three sides, it's really an island. Because North Korea. It's not like you can say: hey, road trip to China Oh wait.

So, you don't have to worry about getting a home charger and just letting it charge at home overnight 99% of the time, but the owner of a fuel cell vehicle will have to worry about where to find a hydrogen fuel station and then drive out of their way to one for every single fill-up. Hydrogen seems like the worst of both worlds fueling a gas vs electric vehicle (less fuel stations available than a gas vehicle without out the advantage of home charging an electric vehicle.

Well, good luck with that Alex. Fuel Cells sound like a great idea if you actually have access to a station. For me, it's 80 miles to reach a station that isn't anywhere near a location I'd be traveling; so like everyone else in the San Joaquin Valley, this is a big no-go. Don't forget to time your filling plans for those stations in Saratoga and Campbell- neither is open all the time.

I have a feeling hydrogen could be a thing. One day, hydrogen will be cheaper and more efficient to produce as well as safer to store. Also, hydrogen takes about as much time to refuel as a normal gas car while electricity takes so much longer. Hydrogen outdoes battery electric in range and refuel time. Efficiency isnt as good but there has to be some give and take

Leased NEXO for 3 years? What? Why would anyone order hydrogen car? I understand that Model 3 sucked for every-day use for you, but. Kona, or anything else, really? Don't know why you'd think that H2 car is cool. it's a weird exotic of dying kind. H2 is good for semis, but not passenger cars.

I really wished you got something a little more interesting. Maybe you got it cuz no one wants these vehicles so they're a bargain, maybe your viewers are really into boring crossovers, or you need this type of car for the family. Wish it were something like a supra.

Great lease price. Hyundai, Honda, and Toyota are practically throwing away Hydrogen Vehicles and make losses on them as no one is buying them. Be interested to see how limited, or free, you are compare to a regular EV in daily habits.
