2019 Nissan Rogue vs Toyota RAV4 Which Should You Pick?

Rogue or RAV? It's hard to go wrong with any compact CUV in America today but how do the two most popular models in America compare? Which one is right for you? Let's discuss. Colleen Henderson: Id be interested in how you make out with your RAV4 hybrids all wheel drive system. I live in eastern Canada, on top of a fairly twisty hill. Lots of snow and ice. Obviously you cant test it for snow and ice, but will look forward to see how you make out on hills, sand and gravel. Some reviewers find the AWD less than adequate in the hybrid. Thanks for another great review.

I think the Nissan Rogue (and Nissan's in general) rate 7/10 in every competitive stat while other competitors from Japan and Korea are 9/10 or 10/10. So the Rogue is oh-kay but always not as good as competitor-X. The difference comes when you actually visit the Nissan dealer. When you can drive home with a nice Rogue for 5, 000 less (15-20% less) than a similar Toyota (or Honda or, many choose to live with the just oh-kay since nothing is really a deal-breaker, even if everything is not as good as the competition.

Go Rogue. Lots of complaints about 2019 RAV 4 on Edmunds. com. I have a 2018 Rogue. Front seats very comfortable. Top of the line SL has every option available. Power totally adequate. Excellent fuel economy. RAV4 has an ugly truck look. Best of all Rogue on sale now so save thousands over RAV4.

Alex, great review as always. There is one error you may choose to fix. When you start describing the interiors you start out in the older Rogue, and you mention that it's the RAV4. Otherwise it is another stellar review as we've all come to expect. KUDOS

As soon as Toyota introduced the new RAV4, I thought wow, they took the design straight from Jeep, looks so much like a Jeep Cherokee Not a lot of original design there. Nissan on the other hand, changed everyone's design approach when the Gen 2 Rouge came out.

The Rav4 Hybrid, at 40 MPG combined, is the best vehicle in this class, and has well over 200 HPThe 2021 redesigned Rogue is about a year away

I love the look of the front on the RAV. Doesn't look like sad face it looks rugged and way better than the old lame Nissan.
