Well. sad news for Yaris is due to the pandemic and stiff competition from the Soul and Fit, the Mazda2-based Yaris will be discontinued and the 2020 model will be it's last.
Not sure how it will goes for the Mazda2 (it's still being sold in Mexico's market however, but I'm quite sure Toyota will be releasing a Yaris GR-alike hot hatch soon this year, and hopefully the upcoming Yaris Cross being announced in Asian market could be arriving soon in NA market by next year.

So I've been trying to give the new font/colors a chance but I'm really not liking the new look. I think the main problem I'm having is that the font is too small (I know. old guy complaint. I usually watch your videos on tv via Roku, and the text on the graphics are soooo hard to read now. I also think there could be more contrast in the graphics. With the old graphics which were a darker blue, there was definitely more contrast. Maybe it's just me.

Alex, Please excuse this expression but. buh - bye Mazda 2, Toyota just released a far #superior Yaris of their own. Whether you want fuel economy, AWD, high performance or some combination of those attributes Toyota makes a real Yaris to fit your needs. If the 268 HP, AWD 6 speed manual Yaris GR does not appeal to you how about the 60 mpg AWD Yaris Hybrid? North American is Toyota's biggest market and we deserve the #best Toyota has to offer.

Pull Up - Push Down sport shifters are actually the normal/correct way. That's how it was in race cars before paddles became the standard.
It's easier to pull the stick back toward you when under accelerative forces, and easier to push forward while braking. As someone who drove shifter karts, and played my fair share of ID and WMMT in the now extinct arcades, it's annoying as Hell when a sport shift is Push Up - Pull Down.

I don't understand why the fuel economy isn't higher. I daily a 2016 Mazda3 which weighs 500 lbs more, makes 50 more hp, and has 0. 5 more liters of displacement and it gets the same fuel economy. I average high 30's. Even as a mechanical engineer it doesn't make sense to me. It must come down to the engine management software/hardware.

Toyota has released a car that is destined for failure. A Honda Fit also has a 1. 5 liter engine but has 128 HP instead of the Yaris 106 HP plus has a manual option. Europe gets cool small cars and we get leftover turds designed by the JV team at Toy Mazda.

Toyota, I do not want a car that built by another car company with your logo on it. If I want a Mazda I will buy a Mazda, and if I need a Toyota then give me 100% a Toyota Vehicle. As for as I am concern it is not a Toyota and I will not buy it.

I don't get why people criticize the EPA cycle. It is a remarkable accurate estimation of what you'll get when driving. In Europe there the WLTP cycle and you'll only meet that when you drive VERY economically and pretty much never beat it.

FYI I believe GM just announced a few hours ago they're discontinuing their Sonic model. Autonews reports that much at least. Might want to add a notation to the video or CC.
