I bring you along as I diagnose a 2007 Chevy Classic 4x4 that has some unwanted ABS activation. Or what is considered ABS activation during a non-ABS stop

Hey Eric, I got a problem with a 2012 gmc Sierra sle 5. 3l I was driving the other day and the truck made a hitting noise and then the tachometer went out and the stabilitrac light came on and the traction control lights came on. I put new hubs on last winter and I just changed the rotors and pads. I shut the truck off and and then the lights go off. I drive for a little bit and then the bang noise hits again and the same thing, reach and those lights come on. I feel like something is loose or grounding out. But I can't figure out what that hitting noise is it why the lights and tach trip out. I have reduced power when that happens also. But other than that it drives normally. Help! Thanks buddy

I'm working on a 2008 envoy. No codes. Stabilitrack kicks on right away when I try to accelerate and wont let tha car advance, if I do manage to get going the abs kicks in when I come to a stop. I not used that all wheel speed sensors work fine at speeds above 10mph but it the front sensors drop to minimum after reaching 10moh or less. While the rears stl read below 10mph. I ran wire fro. The front speed sensor to the rear speed sensor so that the rear speed sensor would pick up the front sensor signal. The sensor read fine so I'm pretty sure it's not the sensors. What can via both front sensors to drop at 10mph and not be the speed sensors? Software problems?

Hi, I have been watching several videos but cant find one with the same problem I'm having. I have 1997 Silverado 2wd that started having problems with the transmission dropping out of gear and the abs light coming on. I talked to another mechanic and he didn't know what it was. I checked around was told it sounded like the speed sensor was going bad. The abs system while driving thinks the wheel stopped when the sensor malfunction and turns the abs light on and kicks the transmission out of gear. I just no sure if it's the wheel or transmission sensor. What do you think?

Like the tip on the slow speed drive, I did the same at stop signs and side streets trying to duplicate the False ABS and it became a pain in the Arse. Sometimes Mr. Eric I think GM made these trucks to train mechanics how to chase stuff that shouldn't break in any normal truck. Great video as always, Thanks for sharing it. BTW, I bet you can change out fuel lines and brake lines in these silverado's faster than anybody in the country with all that rust you deal with!

Help, My Honda Civic front brakes will not release brakes dragging, change brake hoses, caliber's, master brake cylinder. On the ABS if I loosen the front brake line on the ABS pressure is released and the rotor turns ok? I loosen the master cylinder from the booster if it was the problem no help, tighten the line on the ABS and pump the pedal again rotor locks up again? Any suggestions

We should fight to abolish Planned Obsolescence and make EVERY company stand behind their products with a full Lifetime Warranty.
I bet you Ford or Chevy or ANY company would design things to be as durable as possible and as simple as possible to fix.
THAT would be a sane world though.

I have yet to replace a hub on a Chevy truck but on others the hub bearing is double sealed ( sealed both sides, so I wonder how effective pumping grease into the reluctor cavity will get grease past the seal and into the actual bearing roller elements? Thanks for the diagnosis vid. Good tips.

Ive got an 06 GMC Sierra and had the problem of the brakes grabbing and pulling one side so I replaced both hubs and it hasnt done it since but my check engine light is still on could there be something else wrong or is there something Im not doing to get the light to turn off?

I was a service advisor at a Chevy place and the new and late model Silverado trucks still have this problem and the GM fix is a reprogram of the electronic brake control module and sometimes this reprogramming causes the problem to even if that truck did not have that issue.
