Good that you slobber those bottom bolts with never-seize. Here in Minnesota I have never been able to remove one of those, they're firmly rusted into the bushing. I have to curse a lot and saw the bolt out and replace with a new bolt and bushing, every time, on 2000-2004 Hondoos. Even the nice bevels on the bolt are not quite enough. Rust really never sleeps. I also do the slobber treatment on all those low bolts and it sure helps the next time when I have to change the strut or CV axle.

Hmmmm, someone was in a bit of a salty humour uploading this! Come on you are a mechanic for 20+ years, surely you have developed x-ray vision by now? You dont need to look at a vehicle to tell whats wrong with it! Great video from good people, your home is so like mine, the work, the cooking, the wife, the kids, the doggy: ) We are living the dream

What do you do if those retainer screws won't come out? Last one I did I couldn't even get them out with the impact screwdriver. Ended up twisting the Chinesium screwdriver bit in half then drilling the screws out and just letting the wheel hold the new rotor in place.

BTW do you see any value in replacing old, perhaps spongy brake hoses with those new Teflon stainless-braided brake hoses? They're pretty inexpensive and look like high quality, even if furrieners. Maybe it's imagination but the brake pedal does feel firmer.

Great tip on the pad spreader hardware. I of course learned the hard way by chasing those little buggers all over the shop half a dozen times until I learned the procedure you just demonstrated. lol. Keep fighting the good fight brother.

My daughter has a 2014 Odyssey that has one rear shock leaking and the other seems fine. Should you replace both at the same time, or should you consider the other one fine since it is not leaking?

Minding the little details like putting anti-seize compound on threaded fasteners is what separates a good mechanic from a hurried technician.

My Pilot chews up rotors unlike any other vehicle I've owned. First the front then the rear. Under designed brakes for how heavy it is.
