Another way to fit those misaligned brackets is to squish them in the vice to match the hole spacings.
I put them on the ends and compress them enough to hand start the bolts.
Careful not to over tweak them or have them explode out of vice.
You said 1/4 hole so would take a minute to do. then they would conform to bushing ( or vice versa. when tightened down.
Same result in the end.
Just an option. which one uses.

Hey guys I thought this might be a decent time to ask since it's a Jeep video. But I just recently inherited a 02 cherokee 4. 0. It has a loud growling noise coming from the front axle. It sounds dead center. Like a bearing or something metal on metal. I changed the diff fluid to no avail. Could it be the pinion bearing or something and is it common for the bearings in there to go bad? I believe it's a dana 30.

Eric, I just hope all the expense and effort results in a car that you enjoy driving. My gut feeling is that the increase in the centre of gravity relative to the roll centres necessary to achieve the extra ground clearance will compromise the handling and road holding especially when cornering. I am interested to know how all this turns out.

All the comments about the shocks. Bilsteins are to be mounted with the labeling upright in a readable position, he has them right. One of the best things you can do for the ride BTW, along with the Addco bar. I have a 3 lift on my 04 WJ with the Addco bar, Bilsteins and Iron Rock springs, handles MUCH better than stock ever did.

Get rid of those tin diff. covers when you install lockers, that cheap ass rubber plug that almost always seems to weep.
I have greaseable front sway bar saddles, came from Kevins off road I think. BTF diff. covers look nice but be sure to use SS bolts/allen head hardware

keep a close eye on the upper unibody mounting areas eric. they are prone to flexing and breaking out up there. now get the front bar and replace that cheesy hollow one up there. it will corner very well after doing this to it.

Actually your shocks are the right way upside down Bilstein told me, when I bought their shocks that they are mounted with the label right side up, some of their shocks are suppose to me mounted upside down, some right side up,

I missed this part onward, hospitalized, while resting, I found back. Very well build, normal simple efficient upgrade, really satisfied your 12 year dream, whole family will love it. Going for whole week long bush camping yet?

I have the 5100s on my Sierra & that is how I have mine installed. The lable should not be upside down when reading it. Ive heard that you can have the boot on top, but the shock may not last as long.

Did the same upgrade to my 01 Grand Cherokee 4. 7 and it was worth every penny. Cut the body roll down a lot. I'm surprised they use such a small diameter sway bar from the factory.
