Honda Civic: P0453 Finding The Bad Connection - Part II RideCamVids: That car has seen some liquid there for sure, the rust, dirt and the discolouration on those two passive olive coloured bolts are all signs of lingering moisture at some point. The spilled drink scenario is one of the ways it can happen for sure. Only three minutes duration viewed per video? its not from those who follow you seriously. Good investigation by you as always to find the problem.

I knew I found a good mechanic when my car check engine light was on for emission and he found it showed a vacuum leak. Smoke machine didn't find the leak. Ended up it was a clamp that had rusted enough to lose its grip, but wasn't enough to leak smoke and was still in place. This is why I leave it to that guy instead of trying to fix it myself. I will stick to working on my old junk. Awesome job as usual.

I had the same goo on my wife's Sorento last year. Figured it had to be soda. The carpet under the driver's seat took a hit as did the electrical connectors on the seat frame rail. What a mess! It all works now, it's all good! I don't care what anyone says, these two video's were GREAT! Great diagnosticians like you are RARE! Keep up the great work! Oh ya. Got some April's Maple coming! Good stuff!

Am I going crazy or did I see snow on the ground (at minute 28'ish) when you were on the test drive? So, I live not that far away and the snow and ice have been gone for a few weeks. that notwithstanding, great troubleshooting - and I had more then a few laughs along the way ( from what you said. ok, a little from what you were doing too.

A good shop vac makes short work of the nether regions where I wouldn't put my hands with chain armor gloves! You could be kind and dump the sucked up nasties into a receptacle, I say out of site out of my life. The landfill is down yonder iffen your missen sumpin! You could always stuff the two pocket tee shirt!

My 'educated' guess is those liquid filled air fresheners that clip onto the vents. They sometimes leak (and we have evidence he uses them - he has one of the non-liquid types installed right now) and the fluid is quite corrosive - some dashes get stained permanently - I highly recommend against them!

You know you're next level when other shops know who to send the car to. I don't mind the talking at all Eric, I like to watch all your videos. It gives me inspiration to think things through and fix things for myself. Hats off to you and your abilities and not throwing parts at these problems.

I love your videos. I love how you break things down into logic. I work at a napa. Not a sponsor. And your videos help me when customers are like I've been to every part store for this part and none of them work. I'm so maybe it's not the part but a wire. Thanks mr o

Yup, that's why no eating or drinking in my cars. Well, unless it's a long trip and better watch out. On another note, average view time is 3 minutes? What the hell? You don't get to the good stuff for at least 10 minutes in on your videos. Nah, I watch start to finish.

Hi Eric another why is it so and how to fix it. As for Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels have not seen that show in a long time late 70s and you would ask yourself why three lovely young girls are with him the size of his giant club that's why.
