Buick LaCrosse: No Start No Communication brainfreeze44131: The only people I've see going to pull a part during the day. Meatheads that wear inappropriate clothes and are looking for a deal on some cosmetic part. In the evening it's the mechanic that has a shop in his backyard. He generally has a list of parts he needs for different cars. Once I saw a guy bring a date to pull a part. Just a little suggestion for a date day with Mrs. O's. I'm not sure if he was getting parts for her car or his. But she was not dressed for pull a part.

A couple S-bombs in the last few videos. It s strange to hear, you re so careful not to cuss. In my defense this explanation is only for proof-of-concept and had to be shown to my previous boss. I cut the data wire going to the ECM and put a scope on both leads you'll notice on those GM computers that their voltage drops down into the millivolt they still communicate but they're unable to communicate if you get my drift. The vehicle side of the harness still contains the 7 V

At first I thought it might be a park position sensor not allowing the vehicle to crank. I had that on my 2001 Taurus. Apparently the person who owned it prior was rear-ended and the sensor slid out of position and thus no crank situation. Then I saw you had multiple codes so my theory was out the window. Enjoyed the video, first time I've heard you swear. lol

I gotta wonder if the GM site has issues. My buddy just did a used BCM in a Caddy and not only did it take FOREVER to get it to download, but also he too got several error messages, yet the thing worked just fine with no codes. It was his 1st time as well swapping in and reprogramming a used piece. New 1s are NA. (02 full sized with the 4. 6)

WERA kits are great for small stuff. Nice work again Mr O.
That is such a nice clean organized wreckers yard. Ours here in Alberta are mudpits with junk, broken metal, and fluids all over the ground. Some cars just sitting on the ground with no wheels, no category/inventory stickers etc,
Stay gold.

Recently my cousin had his Mitsubishi 05 montero move while he was under, he got bruises only cuz I stopped it in time but it didn t crank we assumed the issue was dead starter so he straight wired it n it started in drive, turns out, shifter cable came off from the shifter, thankfully he s fine

Almost seems like you should put together a tool bag for pick a part and keep it somewhere with you when you go. My mindset when i go to a junkyard. backstory, I had a relative that worked at one-so I've seen back door stuff. basically a cutting torch is all you need. Even for a rear view mirror.

FUN FACT.
UART. Universal Asynchronous Receiver-Transmitter
That is the 9 pin and/or 25 Pin serial port on the back of REAL OLD home computers.
It was used for Analog telephone Modems and the serial mouse.
It was replaced with the USB port (Universal Serial Bus.

, My 2002 old aurora does exactly the same thing once every blue moon.
If I cycle the door locks 5 times, sometimes more, it fires right up
Intermittent fault in the security system.
I wish I could try it on your customer's car
