What? No wrenches?
And explaining a short circuit isn't going to go where you want. and explaining an open circuit without closing any gaps, or high resistance without getting the subject heated. I don't think so. Although fixing it has an interesting twist.

Thanks Eric for the uncanny ability to find broken wires because this helps to offset the hordes of mechanics who cause unmitigated mayhem by not securing wiring back where it belongs.

Short, open, resistance. Sound like a phone man. Now if your meter could tell you the distance of those your set. But being so close it could throw a miss reading or jump the problem.

Well said for farmers. I grew up on a decent size dairy farm with a few hundred acres to look after. Best learning experience one can have.
