A Mouse, A May Fly And A Broken Car. Alan: Helloooo, Hello? Is anyone home? And Miss O with the mouse invasion of 2022. I suspect there was more than one critter in on that raid. Yeah, I would have screamed like a girl too if one of them little fellas had come a run'n when picking up those chairs.
Speaking of screaming like a girl - True Funny story: Taking an afternoon break outside at work, in the designated smoking area, minding my own business when a hummingbird sized Japanese hornet comes and out of nowhere and lands on the back of my right shoulder. I'm already deathly afraid of bees, of any kind, from a childhood massive stinging. Anyway, I start squawking and screaming like a girl to everyone's delight and end up running back into the shop. The shipping guy comes running over and swats the beast and it fly's off into the plant. Guy turns to me and says, hey man, you better check your shorts, first chance you get Retired now. Great memories. Thanks for the reminder!

We had mice built a nest on the cabin air filter in the Toyota Tacoma. It s a 2012 with 55k on it. And the stink was so bad I didn t think I would ever get that smell out.
I now have a mouse blocker that runs off the battery. It doesn t pull any more power then the clock. So it doesn t drain the battery. So far no mouse droppings under the hood. Got it on Amazon. Oh yeah they had eaten the wires that ran the throttle.

If you don t charge for fixing cars how would you stay open is what my reply is when people ask why they charge for service given. A long time ago a customer asked for a quote on a job which I forget and after the woman on the phone said why couldn t it be like Mayberry where people did things free for their towns folk and the service manager told her because they all went out of business doing things free

I saw a video where a mouse did the same thing and chewed up the air filter. The only difference was their air filter had a metal mesh on top (similar to what you installed, that kept the mouse out. The MAS had a piece of filter material stuck in it!
I saw a video of a mouse living in a plant, at the Home Depot Garden Section! Buy a plant, get a free living garden gnome named Mickey.

I have had several mouse/rat related car problems. They like to chew wires. A rat in your house can cause thousands of dollars in damage quickly. Bought professional rat and mouse bait and set up bait stations all around my house. Made a huge difference. I sometimes see a dead rat or mouse but nothing more than that. Poison is a good investment.

Rats or mice have liked the flat top of my '94 Dodge Caravans plenum chamber for years. No other damage or invasion ever found. I read on the internet that peppermint oil will keep them away. Cheap so I tried it and about a year later and no more evidence? Just dribbled it around under the hood and I like peppermint so no complaints from me!

Now we know that new yorkers are good at catching mouse and rats! lol! lol!
Even though it looked like a simple fix it took years of experience for Eric to know exactly what the issue was and should charge accordingly. Just because he did not pull out the scan tool or ran a diagnoses his experience is the best diagnostic tool ever!

Mr O you are a nice man, and is sweet to see how you and Mrs O enjoy each other's company. And of course you would charge for your expertise rapidly diagnosing and fixing the fault, and I'd bet the customer was thrilled that it was no big thing.

Last fall a squirrel somehow jumped into the fan and ended up getting wedged right under the lip of the front bumper smelled horrific! Was a very difficult extraction and not a pleasant mind you if you know what I mean. It was raw baby!

My mice I poison with my chemo. Xeloda that I used to take is basically mustard gas. I leave a tablet here and there and it kills everything. I did not kill my neighbors cat with a pill in some tuna. You thought of that.
