I think this was an excellent video. For we who have watched your brake job videos in the past, we know what you''re doing, but this time you're doing everything with almost pure muscle memory since you're distracted with the menu discussion. The muscle memory displayed as you grease and loctite the parts of the breaks shows subtle technique nuances we don't usually see when you're actively demonstrating a process.
Most specifically, the way that you applied and spread out the loctite on the bolts this time was more instructive to me than in your other videos. Instead of thinking about how you do it, you were just doing it.
Sometimes just being able to watch an expert do something is more instructive than any explanation they might provide.

All starches are carbs and all carbs metabolize down to 6 carbon glucose molecules in your bloodstream that raise your blood sugar levels. The body doesn't know, can't tell and doesn't care where the sugars you eat come from, whether from candy or a potato, rice, pasta or bread, it all raises blood sugar, but protein and fat do not raise blood sugar levels and do not stimulate insulin because there's either not enough or any sugar carbs in them to do that.

Hey Eric video was not a failure for me, I learned something new, I learned to make sure the piston holes are vertical so the brake pad lines up correctly, you might think your videos are not good. We sure don t. As far as eating what s good for you or eating what taste good I say In joy life eat what you like and don t resent anything about yesterday and don t fear anything about tomorrow live in the here and now and be happy Brother

Need a shop like Eric's to find MY Ford's brake trouble! We thought it was warped front rotors causing vibration on braking, so installed new Ford parts. Nope! Still have this poky, rocking-chair feeling while braking at moderate speed and shuddery feel when braking at highway speed. Take foot from the brake, or feather the pedal, and it goes away. Really, really frustrating to duplicate it for the shop--much less diagnose!

I never heard of any of the foods you mentioned Eric. I do however know that all foods are very regional. I have lived many places around the world, and many states, and have come to love trying different foods when traveling. I'm from the deep south, but when I lived in upper state NY. and Michigan, I loved to eat at neighbors places and try real local foods. Never disappointed.

Eric, try some blackened catfish topped with shrimp and crab stuffing drizzled with butter and white wine sauce with a rice pilaf or garlic mashed potatoes or roasted potatoes and bell peppers. I would start with a cup of gumbo or crab bisque and your favorite salad and for desert warm bread pudding topped with bourbon sauce and maybe a scope of real vanilla bean ice cream.

Beef on weck! I really miss that. I lived in Buffalo for several years and every chance I get back, I look for that on the menu.
Also, salt potatoes were a go-to in the summers when I lived in Syracuse. Yum! (search Syracuse Salt Potatoes, The History Guy)
Another great video, I laughed out loud a couple of times while you and Mrs. O discussed the menu.

Take a trip down the 90 to Buffalo to Schwabl's for an amazing beef on weck with superb homemade German potato salad, pickled beets and a seasonal Tom and Jerry for a side drink. Down 86 to Olean to The Beef and Barrel for more amazing hand- carved beef dishes and homemade weck rolls. You'll be pleasantly satisfied.

Eric, fellow WNYer here. Beef on Weck: Buffalo: Schwabl s, Bar Bill, Charlie the Butcher, Andersons. Pok-A-Dot in Batavia, if you happen to be in that neighborhood. Wegmans carries the rolls. If you're making them at home you need FRESH horseradish. That stuff looses its kick pretty quick sitting in the fridge.

Always interesting to see brake jobs: ) Do you ever need to re-adjust the parking brake cable or mechanism if you replace rotors and pads? This car seems to have similar rear disc brakes than my '16 Kia Rio Hatchback, parking brake mechanism integrated to the caliper / piston, so I'm just curious.

For about a year, I lived in Rochester on business. Hearing you talk about beef on weck sure brings back great memories! Obviously cant get weck rolls here in CT. My Rochester friends loved introducing me to a lot of the foods from western NY. Garbage Plate and White Hots were favorites.

Well, I'm from the South. We don't have to deal much with rust on our vehicles and for lunch we have cornbread, fried okra, collard greens and fried chicken. My grandmother's (God rest her soul) fried okra was AWESOME. She grew up on a farm in Tenn and could cook like nobody else.

I highly recommend a meal service like Hello Fresh to help simplify your meals. Now that our kid is grown my wife and I just have to worry about ourselves for dinner. Hello Fresh is perfect for us. You may possibly find it useful for your lunches since you still have kids at home.

I rather enjoyed the food part. More of my vocational background. Would have gone for sauteed spinach with the scallops, risotto worked, and oh yeah the kimmelwick is a known thing even in the nj, pa area. Customer from buffalo clued me in.
Eat well sir.
