Sell your car for free with Carwow: Here it is - the top 10 most unreliable used cars you can buy in 2024! We’ve teamed up with the team at Warrantywise to find out which ten cars they rank as the least reliable cars you can buy in 2024. To compile this list, there are a few things to consider regarding this data. For one, all models included in this list are less than 10 years old, so they’re all relatively new, and the manufacturer warranty has expired for all cars included. The list also excludes vans - we’re only looking at cars here! The question is, which car will come out on top There’s a stereotype that Italian cars are notoriously unreliable - will we see a load of Alfas and Fiats appear in the top 10 And on the flip side, will we see any ever-reliable German brands appear in the countdown There’s only one way to find out - stick with Mat to see for yourself!

This list is flawed. How can they say that the Leon, for example, had cooling issues without saying which one of all the engines available for that model had the mentioned issue While a suspension problem can be related to a certain model, they can't condemn a whole model based on engine/gearbox/electrical problems that were only common in a certain type of motorisation or production run.

Such a shame Land Rover failed to resolve the reliability issues, they have been making Ranger Rovers for decades now.
Its such an amazing looking SUV from outside to inside and offers unmatched luxury and offroad capability, if it were reliable, it would be the best vehicle all around

Ah the A7, I image it's the DEF injectors or Valves being damaged. They are very sensitive when it comes to pollution and once they are gone you need to replace the pump, too, which is one unit with the tank. This results in very high costs.

Yeah not surprised the list is filled with audi / vag products. I love how they look and drive, but after owning 2 different a6 and a3 I decided I will never ever get another vag car, always broken and expensive fixes for simple problems

So a $10, 000 turbo replacement, insane, allows the SQ5 to be almost double the Model X because of a possibility of a suspension issue Definitely not going to be referring to that site.

All the $20, 000 battery talk from a 1, 000 hp ev doesnt look to bad compared to $30, 000 engine bill! Reminds me of those unreliable hand built amg engines that cost $40, 000

And this is the reason why people around the earth buying Toyota.
American and European car are Overrated, Overprice, Over engineering unreliable garbage car brands.

reply

Is the reason the RS3s gearbox is unreliable because of poor manufacturing quality or because of the the yobbo's that rag them at any given opportunity

Can you please put make an episode on the most reliable cars in UK please. With normal day to day cars, not M3 or RS models

To many Audis making the Got Get List. Good stuff keep it up. Are we sure that this man with glasses which looks like Matt is not Ai.

Conclusion: the more complex, sporty, luxurious, powerful and expensive is your car, the more likely less reliable it is!
