Mat, now Volvo are in MY21 manufacturing, a new review would be helpful. The cost cutting on the new model is unbelievable.
- No twin exhausts now. Now hidden exhausts.
- Gearshift paddles are removed from R Design
- Close button and lock button on tailgate. Gone.
- Button to lower rear seats in boot. Gone
- No trim emboss on C Pillar, headrests or kick plates
- 112mph limiter for all models
- Only one main key provided now plus a -care key- which cannot be programmed.
I-ve just ordered an Inscription Pro and the salesman did not mention any of this. I-m thinking of cancelling now. If this level of cost reduction is visible, how much more could there be NOT visible?
How often do car manufacturers make cars worse? That-s progress in the 21st century for you.

I really like the look of the Volvo XC40 and the raft of safety features, I could probably live without Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but I do worry about those massive D pillars creating large blinds spots on the rear quarters! The car probably has blind spot monitoring but how effective it is I-m not sure at this point, I-ve got 6 months to go before I order my next new car so needless to say I-m gonna be test driving like no ones business!

Volvo has a history of poor car sales selling less than 1 car per 100 sold in the country - it's dealer network is limited and poor, low on shore parts inventory, limited capacity for high level tech support and high depreciation resale disaster - there is no escaping these facts no matter how hard wankers like carwow try to extol any virtues from buying a Volvo they fail in their obligation to full disclosure - simply don't buy one

Given Volvo's safety ethos, it is surprising that there is no swivel wheel control in addition to (or instead of) the touchscreen. Mazda had the best compromise in their previous 3: the touchscreen worked when stationary or up to 15 mph, faster than that and only the swivel wheel would operate. Much safer. Most reviewers (including Matt) prefer the swivel wheel, so it's not just for old fogies.

Can anyone tell me how to get the seats to go back when opening the door
all other cars we have with memory seats, when opening the door the seats go back to allow you to get out & when you get in and start the car the seat go to your setting
I have gone through all setting and can't get this to works
Also
like to know if the speedo can be moved to the right side & not the left

I drove the T5 AWD lately and it was absolutely awesome. Quality is great and it has good power.
So I just ordered my XC40 T5 AWD Momentum Polestar optimised with all but one packages added. :-)
I didn't want the R-Design as I actually like the styling of the Momentum more than the styling of the R-Design one.
ETA is February 2020 though: -(
I can't wait.

Best car I've ever owned but you forgot to mention that car tells you your text messages and you can send text messages just by clicking the speak button on right hand side of steering wheel also raise and lower temperature fan speed also set sat nav destination the only thing g it can't do is make you a cuppa

You literally mentioned every pet peeve I have with that car. Except for how big the turning circle is and how the gearbox feels out of tune with the engine. On the T2 it remains in gear for far too long, it's actually quicker if you shift manually. Apart from that though, mighty fine car.

We tried this model. Not great if you have disabilities. Lovely car but not that comfortable for people with neck or back problems. I remember when Volvo seats were like armchairs, sadly these aren't. We even tried the Inspiration Pro model, sadly still the same problem.

The XC40 eerily resembles the Geely Coolray/Binyue. They have the exact same wheelbase, dimensions and even the engine bay are similar. And they have the same 1. 5L turbo gas engine. The difference is the Geely is $20, 000 -- half the price of the XC40.
