Unrelated issue. I drive an Mitsubishi Pajero sport with 60 000km-s driven. Shortly after a service my handbrake dash warning light came on. I took it to a Mitsubishi service a dealership. They assessed it and reported that my handbrake linings are worn completely and metal on metal. They charged me $160 for checking and then more than $500again for replacing the handbrake linings. They also warned me not to use my vehicle until they replaced the parts that took 7 days. I contacted Mitsubishi complaints and head office for clarity on this. It seems they don-t check hand brake linings on services and it is OK for them if one break down at an inconvenient time with worn handbrake linings. Even though my vehicle is only on 60 000km-s and it is not expected for hand brake linings to fail so early they refuse to explore it any further than me paying twice to have my linings replaced. They also also have no answer whatsoever when I asked, how do I prevent this in the future-so if you drive a Mitsubishi you can-t rely on dealership services to warn you prior to having you breaking down and having to pay twice for something that can be fixed at services. It seems like checking the handbrake linings yourself is the only option. I think this is appalling from Mitsubishi.

This is only a restyle of the previous model 208. They seem to be trying to make it look like an SUV with the silly bits around the wheels. I prefer the old style which is a very tall hatch but looks like a car rather than a bus.
We have a 2013 model 208 and it has been 100% fantatstic.
Best by far with the diesel engine, really nippy and far better at motorway speed than the screaming petrol model. Will easily do 60mpg + too.
Little steering wheel is great, you are supposed to set it low and look over it to the dials. Drives like a go cart- great fun. Had ours for 5 years (bought at 3 years old) and passed all mots and only thing broken is the washer motor.
Some have auto parking which you will not use but ours has a pan roof which is a fantastic option if you can find one.
Body, seats and all the switches stand up well, ours still looks showroom new inside. Cannot fault them.

The worst car I have ever bought
I bought a brand new 2021 allure premium 130bhp auto petrol.
The fuel economy is worse than my extra long high top Mercedes sprinter campervan
The C pillars create a massive blind spot they are ridiculously wide.
The interior mirror and plastic casing creates yet another huge blind spot out the front of the car.
The 3d cockpit is completely hidden behind the steering wheel.
The gearbox is jolty as hell when it's coming down gears into 2nd and 1st
The central screen freezes all the time
It sticks in 2nd gear quite often
No lumber support on any seat.
Absolutely horrid car in my opinion

Peugeot make cars that last. are sturdy. useful. and their suspensions are the best. a lot of other car makers concentrate on - frills- inside the vehicle and don't really pay attention to features that car buyers actually look for( as mentioned above) also they price competitively. now that's what buyers really want. and here I' m talking about practical and day to day personal / family use. if one wants frills and fancies. there are zillions of options out there. thanks for sharing.

I love these reviews but unless you pay cash which few people do, the discounts are non existent because they adjust the APR on finance deals leaving you with the same monthly payments as you would have with no -discount- with a lower APR. It-s not exactly a scam but it is misleading.

Doing some great car reviews again Mat, well done. Love the look of this car but in Australia Peugeot-s don-t tend to hold up to our roads and conditions so they have a very poor following. The result of this is a bad reputation and about the same retained value as a Mc Happy Meal.

Why so many people are suffering from paint flaking around headlamps and arches around GT trims! #peugeot needs to get a recall done ASAP as it-s ruining otherwise perfect car reputation! #peugeot #renault #citroen -peugeot

I wouldn't touch Peugeot with a barge pole. As someone has already commented about Peugeot and their notorious electrical faults. I speak from experience. Peugeot's electrics are shot. Definitely a brand to avoid!

Having a French cars since 1996 till now there is simply no thing they finish right.
The ideas are great but finish lags behind.
Those are disgusting car to maintain. 100000km and you can throw it away.

I should point out that my dad has one of these and you missed out the allure premium which has 2 or 3 extra bits(my father has the allure premium and that's what is on the agreements and the marketing)
