Hey Matt, i'm Bulgarian and i would like if you could review Sin R1. Its a supercar made in Bulgaria. And it's my country's only car. Now i am not making an advertisment or something but to me it is kinda sad that our car is very competitive with Farriries, Porshes, Lamborginies, yet almost no one has ever heard of it uncluding me before a few months. (Btw know i have made some mistakes so pls don't correct me people)

Two other minor problems Matt forgot to mention. One is whether or not like it's Toyota sister the bz4 it has a tendency to have the wheels fall off. Also, does it have the same problem of being unable to do fast-charging in cold weather? That would require a full battery system redesign to fix so I suspect the answer to that question is yes. That makes this vehicle absolutely untenable in colder climates.

Finally, at least Lexus has been more creative with the front face of the car - instead of some lazy fake grille everyone else does! Actually looks pretty cool - very angular like most Lexuses and something that looks a bit different on the road. The only thing I find a bit daft is the pillars behind the back doors - they look like windows, but they're not. Would have reduced the blind spots!

Hi Mat,
I love Lexus and did look forward to the RZ, but the BZ4X platform from Toyota doesn't give us the range that an EV should to avoid range anxiety for us not-so-young (50+) users. The car looks fantastic, both the exterior and the interior, and I sincerely hope that Toyota will get the range right next time so I can get it on my shortlist.

Design is always a matter of taste, but as a German it is enough to make you tear your hair out when every Asian manufacturer can offer such a much higher-quality and more comfortable operation. Audi, BMW & Mercedes are simply a horror with their touch-only philosophy. More screen does not equal high tech. Comfort and safety is an absolute downgrade.

This is not a good car and this review perfectly demonstrates how useless traditional car reviews are. The charging is a disaster, the range is bad, the packaging is wasteful (it's an ice design underneath, long roadtrips are a pain, service requirements are way behind any other ev. None of this was even tested though, what's up with that?

I had a look at the Toyota BRZ4XR2YZZCYZ in the showroom, gave me the impression of being a product that was rushed out the door. Similarly, on a show stand, the NX felt like a much more polished product than this. Wasn t surprised to learn the outgoing Toyota CEO wasn t keen on electric cars.

yet another car to cater the pointless SUV hype all around the globe. it looks bulky, clumsy and just plain ugly. i mean like the fiat multipla level of uglyness, where you really start to ask yourself what is wrong with the designers and even more with the people praising and buying such cars.

This is the worst electric vehicle. Literally. See all the videos showcasing how much of a crap this is.
Because Toyota corpo is doing it intentionally, to sabotage the electric vehicle tech, as they are part of groups to hamper EV development and keep using anything else.

So far I have only seen one honest review of this car - by the Car Care Nut. The range and charging speed is so rubbish it cannot be even considered by most except as a local runabout second car. Winter range will be closer to 125 miles!

Toyota lost too much time to improve hydrogen cars. Electricity is used to generate hydrogen then hydrogen is used to generate electricity and loosing electricity percnetage too much bigger than battery cars. What a genius idea hydrogen car

I thought once it's depreciated it would be a good second hand buy until I saw the energy consumption. On a long trip using rapid chargers it will cost a fortune to run and anyone without a home charger will be in the same boat.

That range is positively abysmal especially at this price point. Certainly some people only drive around town so they don t care about range. However, this is so bad that it really wouldn t be useful on a road trip.
