The 2020 GMC Sierra 3500 HD is a heavy-duty, highly capable, full-size luxury truck -- and it's luxurious, too. Today I'm reviewing the new 2020 Sierra HD and I'm going to show you all the quirks and features of the latest heavy-duty Sierra 3500 HD, and I'm going to drive the new Sierra HD and show you what it's like on the road

Fuel economy and environment are not applicable because it's a diesel. Diesels are emissions exempt. Diesel vehicles are all around more efficient vehicles which is partly why they last well into 250-300K mileage, and given the payload and towing capacities trucks like this are arguably more fuel efficient than most vehicles, including any hybrid on the market, even when compared to the Prius. How many Prius' would you need to pull 35, 000lbs? Do the math. Trucks are generally stigmatized by the occasional puff of black smoke from the exhaust and the judgement is from the so-called environmentalist who doesn't know any better because their sense of value and practicality are measured by their own needs or desires.

Our garage recently failed inspection on a 2013 gmc because the frame had rust holes. The guy is selling it to a wholesaler who will take it out of state if he's lucky. Possibly scrap it. With how you use a truck, and how salt eats them, I'd never spend that much on a truck. Maybe if I lived in Arizona where rust isn't an issue.

Hey Doug. FYI. that top hole in the hood is not for cooling. like you stated. it was introduced on the 2017 model and is actually an intake. (ram air) it's one of the ways you can tell you're looking at a truck equipped with the new Duramax L5P motor. (unless you douche out and swap your hood to look cool. you know who you are)

For work and functionality, this is really good As far as interior amenities are concerned, the luxe features in this don't quite meet those of the new RAM but it's getting there. Give this a revised 2021 Yukon Denali interior and it'll be pretty much perfect

I find myself liking vehicles with smaller screens and thoughtfully laid out buttons now. The giant screen thing feels kind of like a design cop-out to me. Theres certainly an application for it but its just not my thing.

3: 43 This grille is grille enough. WORK ON IT' - GMC Design, 20188: 00 And let's take 80% of the budget for the redesign and put it into the tailgate. Nobody wants a luxurious interior, anyway.
reply

Curious how much that tailgate costs, because regular tailgates here in the midwest already struggle to stay functional with the winters all that fancy movement just more shit to break

Throwback to when Doug Demuro spotted a Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 this week while piloting an equally rare Bentley Brooklands coupe. The chances of that are absolutely minuscule

Doug I must say that I really appreciate the little subtitles with the metric units. You put extra effort in the tiny details and they don't go unnoticed.

I give the Denali bonus points for making an infotainment screen that doesn't stutter when scrolling and zooming. Why is that so hard for everyone else?
