The 2020 Toyota C-HR is a weird, quirky hatchbacky crossover thing. Today I'm reviewing the Toyota C-HR, and I'm going to show you around the Toyota C-HR. I'm also going to drive the C-HR and show you what the C-HR is like on the road. YouDontWannaFightMe: This car was originally intended to Scion s first crossover, which probably explains the quirky styling. They even unveiled a concept with Scion branding that carried the CH-R name before the brand tanked. Thankfully, all their existing models and concepts that weren t discontinued got turned into Toyotas.

It's ironic that Doug gushes about the quirky styling then proceeds to only give it a 5 for styling. If that is his opinion, he just helps to justify the opinion of critics that it's just ugly instead of quirky. I dont care if 30, 000 gets you a fully equipped version of this. If I'm going to start getting into that price level, I'll just spen the extra 6K and buy a BMW sDrive28i base model with heated seats and steering wheel plus park assist. At least it's 4 seconds faster at 0 to 60 and a much more fun SUV to drive.

I much prefer the Lexus UX which is the same vehicle, but obviously with Lexus trimmings. I got one last year and by the time you barter with the dealer for a discount, it ends up only a little more expensive than the CHR. But with a much better interior, sound system. And of course that front end. But dont get me started on the boot space, or rear legroom. Lack off. Anyone older than 10, forget getting in the back.

Personally I hate this car. Not because of its looks, because I think it looks good, but the seating position is just atrocious and the 122 HP hybrid powertrain is unsuitable for this car. Somehow the same powertrain in Corolla is quiet, quite dynamic and smooth. In C-HR it is loud, slow and unpleasant to be. I much prefer the more basic and cheaper Suzuki SX-4 with 1. 0.

I swear I ve seen hybrid versions of these here but everything look at says they aren t sold here. I even looked around my Toyota dealership while having my car serviced. Not a single one. So where are those hybrids coming from or are people just putting the badges on it? Or maybe all those CHR hybrids I seen were actually HRVs and I was just high? Hmm

Most People in North America don t really want to buy hatchback sedans, so what did the car makers do? They just raised the car height of an existing hatchback and raised the prices and now people are buying them like hotcakes. And it goes to show how dumb people can be, thinking that they re buying something as utilitarian as a normal SUV

My parent's friends ten to be in the 55+ age range and a few of them have these or the Honda CHR and they really like them. Considered by older people to be easier to get in and out of. A lot of them complain about big sedans such as the Mercades E class as being too low to the ground and hard on older bodies to get in and out of.

My 2014 Mazda CX-5 doesn't have Nav, but it has a Nav button next to the screen that does nothing. I'm sort of glad it doesn't have it because the current Google Maps on my phone is undoubtedly far more advanced than the Mazda navigation system from around 2013. I just forget the button is even there.

The purpose of the ECO A/C is to turn it on after your vehicle has reached the desired temperature so you won't have the AC system work that hard, even when your interior reached the desired temp. Therefore, fuel consumption saving.

Doug criticizes this car trying to be funky and weird, but if it was anything else he would say it is interesting and unique. Toyota just wants to make the interior more interesting, I don t get what s so funny about that.
