I would love to drive this to Oregon and have a attendant watch as I get out go to the trunk unlock the trunk to get to the fuel door. I have a 05 Buick the gas tank does not lock so I put a locking gas cap on it. I get out to unlock it. because I don't want to give the attendant my keys. also it ads a more personal touch. each time I go. I feel like the attendant is tapping their foot impatiently lol so that's why I'd love to take this car to a gas station in Oregon

I noticed the four on the floor transmission. With that much horsepower for the time, I was thinking that they would have made fourth gear an overdrive ratio, instead of topping out at the usual 1: 1 of the time. However, if the Wikipedia article about this car is reliable, then 4 was just 1: 1. Yet and still, a 1: 1 ratio topping out at 160-something mph was outstanding.

I think it's so cool that MB still services these! Land Rover told me to pound sand when I asked if they could help fix my '04 Discovery - since no independent shops had the specialty computer tool to fix the issue. Really made me upset. Kudos to MB for support! Makes me wonder about that Porsche commercial with the tractor. Do they also support their old cars?

The Doug Score should be evaluated when compared to 50 s and 60 s MAX 70 s road feel and Performace and style and handling like comparing to a Ferrari of that era, I think it should handle drive much much better and quality also, so the score you made is not justified, that s my personal opinion
You just can t evaluate this Mercedes comfort looking at today standards

Can you drive drive, Doug? Would love to see you do that serious focused face while busting ass around a track would be dope if the triple F collection could lend you the crazy McClaren or someone with an old Ferrari.

Saw one these gullwing models up close about a month ago. It is even more beautiful in the metal.
Also, next to it was the SLR that Stirling Moss won the Mille Miglia in. Was a good day: )

An absolute legend amongst cars. My wife just about killed me on our honeymoon in Deutschland when I saw one and got off the tour bus and walk back about 10 blocks just to see it again.

There are very few automobiles that are rolling sculptures - this is one of them. Almost 70 years old and still turns heads! Definitely worthy of a 10 for Styling and Cool factor.

The level of trust Doug has these days: This is the James Webb Telescope, easily one of the greatest achievements of mankind and today, I'm going to review it.
