I love the type r but the back end was too much. The pointy fins coming off the back and the speed bumps on the roof were too much. The rest I think is ok. Those big black plastic solid vents on the front and back exist on other civics too and they're pretty dumb. I think the exhaust on my 2018 civic si sounds better but I'd trade that for the type r power. What you get for the price of the si is pretty damn good though. The gauge is nearly identical to the Si by the way, with all the options and shift lights available on the si as well. Just no r mode in the si obviously. Same shift knob too, which I only mention because I love the shift knob. Great feel to it.

I can understand why maybe Doug wouldn't prefer the CTR but he seems to borderline hate it. His approach to this review seems to scream clickbait because everyone else is saying such positive things about the car. As I mentioned maybe not the best hot hatch but you can't deny it is a good car. It's funny how he keeps comparing it to the STI and Focus RS. I have never driven a RS but I have own a STI and have driven a Type R. The type R feels faster and sharper for sure than the STI, I can't verify times but for sure the feel.

All of the complaints in the first few minutes was purely about how he didnt like the wing, or wondered what fins were for. this is one of the few hot hatches with a functional wing. Also the wheel arches? Those are there, to direct air to the wing. Also the rear wing? Already proven to work at high speed. I know, the sound is shit, the appearance is flamboyant, but everything you see there as far as wing goes and find is FUNCTIONAL

Doug changed how like 60% of people viewed this car. Alot of people probably liked it, then watched this video, then changed their mind based on someone elses opinion. I guarantee it lol. I personally think it's cool but wouldn't get it, but sure it's cool. But so many people here talking shit on it most likely liked it before watching this video but now follow what everyone else says

Your specs are wrong, the Type R is the fastest track car vs the focus rs, STI, STI type RA, and the Golf R. Also of those cars listed the Type R has the second fastest quarter mile time only losing to the RS by a couple tenths and of the cars listed from a 40 roll, the Type R dominates the competition quite easily, its the hardest pulling car of the group.

i dont know why people complaining bout volume knob wherein there is a volume control on the steering wheel. what's the point of it on the steering wheel, it is easier to do that and more intuitive. there is a reason why some of the buttons/controllers are built on the steering wheel, to have an easier and better driving experience. is it? =)

My problem is if you have 38, 000 for a compact car toy would you really want a compact car toy especially a Honda, if i had that type of money to play with i think i would invest it into something better instead of a plastic FWD clown car that has a dull exhaust sound and probably gets boring after that turbo rush wears off
