Thanks to Platinum Motorcars The Ferrari 430 Scuderia is the special, high-performance version of the regular Ferrari F430. It's worth a lot more than a regular F430 -- and here's why. Red Shift: You have to remember, when you're saving weight (by taking out the car radio/head unit) it's not just the weight of the radio/head unit, it's also all the wiring as well as all the speakers and all together, depending on how many speakers come with the standard car (and whether it has a dedicated amplifier and/or subwoofer, that really can easily add up to 20 KG. Obviously, the F430 Scuderia is a track day car, so to purchase this car for every day driving and going to the store, dropping the kids off at school etc. Would not be very practical. The F430 Scuderia or Ferrari 430 Scuderia is for serious driving/racing, if you want a Ferrari to just casually drive around in and use all the modern gadgets everybody is used to (Air-Con, Audio Player/System, Electric Seats etc) Then to buy a car that's been lightened for the very purpose of making it faster (racing) and to expect it to be more luxurious and have more gadgets (because of the price increase, sometimes hundreds of thousands of Dollars more) really would be unrealistic and people should really check what these cars are made for first, before buying one, as they are usually more powerful, a LOT less comfortable and they contain a lot less modern-day comforts (gadgets/tech.

The first Ferrari I ever drove was a 430 Scuderia about 10 years ago. At the time I knew very little about the car other than there was a Ferrari model called the F430. While a life-long car enthusiast I was never that interested in supercars in general and Ferrari's in particular. As soon as I opened the door and saw the lack of leather, the lack of carpet, the lack of anything luxurious or even comfort-and-convenience and most importantly - the fire extinguisher in the passenger footwell - I was immediately hooked. This was the car for me. The driving just sealed the deal. It really was a spectacular thing to drive. Exactly what a supercar should be. I drove an Audi R8 the same day and it bored me. At 130 mph it was like cruising in a Honda Accord on the freeway. A supercar should scare you a bit. The Audi was definitely fast, but far too tame.

The Scuderia is only 18 HP more than the F430, and when you are near 500HP, that's pretty insignificant. The faster shifts is nice, but unless you are racing its not a big deal; the F430 shifts quick enough when you're at high revs. The Scuderia is 220 pounds lighter, which is mostly counteracted if the Scuderia just had a heavier driver or had a typical male passenger. Yes I know the F430 can have those weight additions too, but My point is, that again, its not an earth shaking difference. So being 2. 5 times more expensive is literally absurd, especially considering that you'd be driving in a completely stripped out car interior for a quarter of a million dollars as opposed to the lap of luxury for 100K.

FYI, the beep when key out is because you have the car in neutral. it should be in 1st gear when parked. It is too warn you that the car might roll away if you not use parking brake. Not a quirk, just a warning signal. I love to watch the films, but honestly too much quirk invention going on. Its not a quirk that they name the car differently come on. The bumpy road button is to enable race mode stability and gearshifts, etc but maintain damper compliance on B road surfaces. Not a quirk.

Is there a reason why Ferrari can't build a car correctly? I mean literally every single Ferrari I have ever seen is so ass backwards it's crazy. It's like taking a turd and putting a Ferrari label on it and just because it says Ferrari it will be sold for some ridiculous price. I mean they look ok but I can think of so many other cars (that cost less) that are actually built correctly. Sorry but if I'm going to spend money that could buy a house on a car it better be PERFECT Ferrari or not.

I was blessed to have rented the Scuderia and he's 100% correct, the sound is out of this world. I like it better than the 458 speciale because of the visceral raw and fun experience. I've heard lesser tuned symphony's than the engine and the quick jerky shifts are just plain fun. Newer supercars are too smooth and insulated. I'm not surprised they are so expensive compared to the regular.

A delayed comment, but Mr. DeMuro I would ask that you do some research on the car prior to reviewing it. All of the things you are highlighting as drawbacks no radio, etc were options. That was even the case on the 16M variant which was designed to be more luxurious. Like most track cars, you start with nothing and then pay to have things put back on for comfort.

The lack of power seats in a car with A/C, power windows and power mirrors seems perfectly fine to me. You rarely have to move the seats and when you move them, you can always do it faster than with power seats. Power windows, however, have a bigger impact on car usability and the windows move faster than you can crank a manual window.

The 360 Modena was beautiful, until Ferrari screwed up the car's look and proportions, trying to make it look like an Enzo. Enter this ugly Scuderia, Enzo wannabe. The adrenaline junkies just don't care. Ferraris are supposed to be beautiful cars that also go fast.

Could you feature a cut to the crash test footage of each car you publicise pls? It will at least double you're views and your good karma score will do better than that if you understand the mortality of your current empowerment over some part of the internet here.
