Who gives a crap about chime volume numbers? I want to hear the specifics about the car, so not really giving a crap about opinion stuff, or quirks. couldn't care less. I do like the additional brake lights, and and camera washer. By all accounts from real drivers, it's a good car. I actually really like this car. I think your score was too low in a number of areas, most notably in acceleration. Your own reaction to acceleration was very favorable, and that's because it is. It's not claiming to be a sports car, so rate it for what it is, and that's impressive in acceleration and other areas, for what it is. Interior should be rated higher too. I think you really shorted it on that one. Quality has been good on these, and building on the technology from the Volt, which was / is quite reliable, it's doing well from a reliability standpoint.

why dont they put solar panels on the roof of all of these electrical cars? am i crazy for thinking that would actually make a lot of sense? that way you dont have to always rely entirely on plug in power. sure its not gonna charge super quick but if you drive to work then leave the car parked in the sun by the time you leave an 8 hour shift you might of regained whatever charge you used to get to work in the first place. it would also help power the infotament system allowing the main batteries to focus more on driving, thus giving ever so slightly better range.

I want one. And as electric cars go, these seem to run a bit cheaper used (even for recent models, under 20K. I suspect the reason for the non power seats, is that those adjustment motors have to work hard (eating up your charge, because the average driver is around 150-200 lbs. Energy better used toward getting you on the road. Everything else consumes far less energy, so yeah, you'll have to get some exercise by hitting the seat adjustment lever and moving your own butt back and forth. Oh the suffering.

The Bolt is perfectly fine as an EV, it's great. The charging infrastructure is what is so paltry compared to Tesla, not to mention it costs twice as much to take a road trip on the Bolt as compared to a Tesla Model 3 because the third party fast charging networks are so expensive. For a commuter car the Bolt is great, it can go long distances and replace a car but you are gonna pay more. The frugal choice is the Tesla Model 3, even ignoring it's coolness.

If you live in a crowded urban center, electric cars are the best. However, if you live in a further Suburban area or in a rural area, electric cars are completely worthless. 238 miles just is not enough if you live in a rural area or in a further suburban area. Eventually, the crowded urban center will have mostly electric cars and the distant suburban and rural areas will have nothing but petrol vehicles and diesel vehicles.

This car is not cool because. I mean LOOK AT IT. It screams MOM car. I dont want to knock any EVs because I really want everyone to be driving one no matter who makes it. But this car is more expensive than a Tesla Model 3 and looks like something my grandma would drive. No thanks. Quirky is not cool. Sleek, powerful and elegant is cool and Tesla has that in spades. Also. Fully self driving. This car will never have that.

On the other side of the same coin, the demand _FAR_ outweighs the supply of the Tesla. It is simple economics; the rule of supply versus demand plays a significant role in determining the price of anything.

This car isnt selling well because its a Chevy. I know myself and many people that stay away from Chevy and GM in general. Several of my family members owned Chevys and they seemed to have parts break down at an accelerated rate compared to other brands. I would look at this car, but the emblem on the front totally makes me not want to. Tesla is overrated and Ford has poor range.

Im saving up for one, I didnt even know it was considered an uncool car I personally think it is one of the best EV on the market if we take into consideration what you get for the price. Now of course opinions vary from country to country but for me i just want a car that its cute (like this one) has good range and wont send me to the dealer every week to get repairs.

Looks a good car with nice features for daily commuting inside or near the city, it's really the brand name that's holding it back right nowBrand name doesn't mean much to me when everyone's starting with EVs, so I'd definitely consider this before that odly looking BMW i3 that screams I'm the first attempt at the EV thing
