Come on, give the German a break here: . They are used to make cars that cost well over 100, 000. 00 so when they are asked to make a 43, 000. 00 van. how in the world are they going to do that? So, the German engineers have to cut corner somewhere, okay, okay, they cut all the corners: . If you add another 50, 000. 00 worth of optional features, then you would have more of the creature comforts like the power sliding doors and power adjustable seats. We have to remember that the German charged for color if you want something other than black or white. As though that wasn't enough, rear view camera is optional for most of the German cars too

Why did you review this as a minivan? Is it sold as a minivan on the American market? It doesn't look like it. It is marketed as a commercial passenger van. I looked at your video for the Odyssey and that is a minivan designed to transfer a few adults and a few kids. The Odyssey is not a car designed for transporting 8 adults. The Metris is. So if the Metris is the worst minivan ever made the Odyssey is a terrible commercial passenger van. Two different kind of cars. And the video title is not fair, it is click bait. If you think this car has the same scope as a Sienna/Odyssey you are delusional.

I'm sorry but like other people have said this is a commercial vehicle. It is not sold at your regular Mercedes Benz dealer. You have to buy this at Mercedes-Benz VANand Sprinter stores only. This specific one is built as a shuttle. These are also used in Alberta Canada to haul oil workers in and out of the oil fields. Love all your videos but you cannot call this a mini van just cause it's a van in North America. You can compare it to a Ford Transit and btw they are very close in price and features cause. its a commercial vehicle.

Ive watched a few of dougs videos and typically i find that hes a little silly in his criticizisms of certain features and that they typically arent as bad as he lets on. Hes not wrong here. Even IF this is or was meant for commercial use as a shuttle or whatnot, this is a horrible seating design. I like the back door, but it and the other doors need power. What it actually looks like it was for was for gangsters or govt agents to snatch people off the street in. But the engine and seating doesnt even lend itself to that.

I love the Metris, in Germany it's called Vito. It is reliable and economical. Many companies and public services use the Mercedes Vito here. I use it for a temporary work company as a shuttle car and I miss nothing. If you want a more luxury car, try the similar Mercedes V- Class. It is almost same priced and in Germany much cheaper than a Volkswagen Multivan. And if you think this car is cheap, then have a look on the Volkswagen. In Germany we love this type of cars for getting people move.

If I were buying a commercial shuttle van, I'd literally fall over laughing at the Metris. annnnnd then I'd buy a Sienna/Odyssey. Which is what everyone does anyway.

I think you are completely wrong with your review. If you want to compare it with an Odyssey, Sienna or Pacifica then you should use a similarly spec'd Mercedes V Class (probably not available in the US, though. The vehicle you used for comparison uses the same platform and body panels, but is a transporter with a few benches in the back. Simple dash board, etc. Check out the German Mercedes web page of the v class and use the configurator.

I think you are completely wrong with your review. Seriously who cares what this reviewer thinks, has to be the least informed person on you tube when it comes to cars. Autocar have reviewed the European version of this car which is the Vito, its a commercial van. And is not subject to tax. The seats are completely different all of which fold so its just the American version (metris) that you have. Its much higher spec in Europe. And is actually top of the tree when it comes to commercial vans.

Ive quite literally watched/heard this video along with the Mitsubishi Mirage video at least 4 different times. Today is perhaps the fifth time. Im not sure why I consistently keep getting repeats of these specific vehicles but Im not mad. I actually enjoy watching videos of the low end or badly equipped or badly engineered cars. To me it comes across as great deal Too bad out of a 1500 price range I still cant afford any of these LOL.

If you are running a airport pick-up businesses, this kind of commercial van has much bigger cargo space than those family minivans when full of seats, the fuel economy of a 2. 2 turbo diesel L4 is way better than a 3. 5 gasoline V6, and the simple interior equipments are more durable which won't be damaged by your customers, to sum up, it is still a good commercial van.
