This Noise Means Your Car is Screwed Ari Kuusela: Few years ago my car didn't start and thought that my battery was dead. I hit my starting motor with a tire wrench and it started working again. It was -30 Celsius so the starter was only frozen. Worked fine after that. Car was 82' Ford Taunus (Cortina in UK)

Ticking in the engine---it's not always a big deal, it depends on if it's upper end or lower end. Lower end is bad, always. But upper end? Sometimes it's just a lifter whose clearance has gotten a little excessive, and you can drive it like that for a very long time. Sometimes there will be a lash adjustment, and you can often get rid of it just by adjusting the valve

SCOTTY, need help right now 2004 g35 sedan, was totaled by a deer last week. Looking at 2010 G37, with 78, 000 miles to replace it at 11, 000. Is that too much and is the automatic transmission good for that model year? Can't find a manual Thanks

Fixed two noises on my car. Replaced the power steering pump and reservoir assembly last year and the belt tensioner assembly and belt several months ago.
