Hey Scotty Love the show Im retired and drive a 2017 Challenger Shaker. Figured it would be a nice retirement present to me. I wasnt ever a Dodge/Chrysler guy. I got the car because I liked it. I thought by 2017 they would have the bugs out. Pretty and fast, great brakes and for a heavy car it handles ok. I dont dog it but drive spirited. Its all you can legally do. Nothing I could do. The car is three years old at 8700 miles. Yes, 8700. With the depreciation on it with low miles should I sell it now? The car runs and drives great, 8 speed auto shifts tight. Im scared half to death after watching your show about their quality. I know you dislike Chrysler, they never were top notch. I remember that starter noise from the 70s. Lol. You could hear a Dodge from any other car. Sounded like a rock rusher groaning. What goes wrong with these. I know you say they are junk, kinda open ended there, but I get it. I found out it was built in Mexico. Not good. It seems like a good car. Love to drive it, its a blast. Is there a chance I gotta a good one, or is it the low miles. Will the electronics kill me later? Thanks Scotty

Hey there. This is going to be a long one and I really hope you have time to answer it. We bought a 2005 Honda Civic lx for 250. We thought we'll just rip out the whole entire interior, replace it, replace the engine and then I'll have a perfect Uber car. You bought an engine online for 950, had it shipped, installed and when it was done it got too hot. We replaced the radiator, the hoses, the radiator again, the water pump, took the thermostat out, checked the fan, and still can't figure it out. We had the head gasket repaired and it still does the same thing. It blows the hose that goes to the water overflow off like it has air pressure inside the lines, too. It usually only gets too hot after you put a certain amount of pressure on the motor like if you go uphill too much or something like that. Do you have any ideas? It is a 1. 7 VTEC 4 cylinder. Our mechanic has run 3 dye tests already. Btw. All good?

The Honda adaptive cruise control works in stop and go traffic. I just drove a 2019 Civic for a week and the ACC would take the car all the way to a stop and start going again when traffic started going again. It was really quite impressive. The Toyota Adaptive Cruise Control I used recently does cut out at around 25-30 mph. Also, from my experience most car manufactures offer adaptive cruise control as an option, but it's not necessarily standard on all cars. Every newer Toyota and Honda I've driven seems to have it, but I've never seen it in any GM, Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Chrysler, or Ford product (I drive a lot of new cars. I'm sure you can buy it as an extra.

Scotty i have a 2002 ford excursion 5. 4L automatic transmission 2wd and ive got the transmission changed out at 170, 000 miles and the first thing i noticed was the shifter was stiff putting it in drive but not on reverse or neutral. But over the time it became back to normal and now sometimes putting it in drive it takes a long time to get into drive as if its to be on neutral. And it sometimes would happen while driving it would act as if its on neutral until i press the gas for a couple seconds and then takes off. Or i'd have to put it in park and then back to drive. Can you please help me

hey quick question for anyone who might have the answer: 2000 subaru forester s. stock wheels are 5x100 bolt pattern with 215/60R16's on them. im looking for a 255/65R16 or /60R17. was there ever a car manufactured from any company in the us market which had a 5x100 bolt pattern with either of those tires mounted as standard? if such a thing exists (google was not helpful: /) id like to track down whichever car(s) contain these unicorns in the scrap yard. if not ill just find a rim and tire and pay someone to mount them, id like to avoid that if possible

toyota is pretty confident in there hybrid battery they are starting for year 2020 with a 10year 150k mile warranty. Also hyundai belives in there hybrids quite alot the orginal owner of the hyundia ioniq has a life time warranty on the battery. I feel like they are betting people wont keep one car much past 150k but the fact they give a lifetime warranty on the HV battery is impressive. In reality where gas millage requirements are headed hyrbids/hyrbid plug ins, Full Evs are where cars are eventully headed to

Sooo. Sadly Scotty. You knew in your heart and from your past working on cars with your grandpa. You knew that you were going to be a mechanic. But you wasted time, miney, and took up seats going to university. This is a main problem with kids today. They go and waste the same things in unis to live in bubble wrapped no thinking outside the liberal SJW FEMINISTS boxes that give them nothing for 4 years and 40, 000 of wall paper in gender studies. When they would be much better of getting a job that is useful.

The masters program is a completely different program than the PHD program. Usually you choose one or the other. What are the degrees in? Next, I might ask you for your tax returns. LUL I guess you're qualified to be president unless you're not a naturalized citizen. So if you really are Canadian then too bad for us I guess, we could use some common sense I think.

Hey Scotty, I bought a 2011 Scion tC with 82, 000 miles on it for 3600, good condition. The only problem with it is that the rear tires need to be replaced from negative toe wear and the rear camber will need to be adjusted. Other than that just some minor body damage on the quarter panels and one tail light cracked. Was that a good deal?
