The Worst SUVs Ever Made (Do Not Buy) Appalling68: LOL Hey Scotty, I've got a 2017 Volvo XC90 AWD D5 with about 100, 000 km and have had ZERO problems with it. The car has plenty of power, fuel economy is better than expected for a car of this size and weight, and it's comfortable as hell. As a long range road warrior with two tall kids in the back, it can't be beat. I bought an extended warranty because as you say, it will for sure become an endless money pit when it surpasses about five years in age, but who gives a sht. I intend to sell the vehicle at year five and go totally EV from that point on. In terms of overall reliability it's orders of magnitude BETTER than what the suckers who have bought Audi/BMW/Jaguar/Rover have had to deal with. So please, get yer facts straight. dude.

I live in the UK (Scotland) and i wouldn't buy a Jag or Landrover product as they are complete crap and overpriced. Same with the German brands, lots of folks here will tell you that BMW and VW are crap also. Not looking good for the so-called prestige European cars, any time i am on holiday in the USA which has been every year for more than 15 years i always pick an American brand of car for the rental car. Last year we had a Ford Explorer with a 3. 5 V6, dont know whats it like to live with for years but over the 3 weeks me and the wife drove it over 3000 miles it was a pleasant car to drive. The wife loved it so happy days.

I had a 2011 jetta tdi that the windshield would of cost me 700 dollars to replace at the dealership. I went to safelite n got a sound deadening windshield which was like 75 dollars more than the regular one (it made a nice difference to with a diesel) n it was like 325 all in or something very close to that. Maybe ur customer shouldnt have got the windshield replaced at the dealership. They also would have replaced it with oem vw logo glass for like 600 bucks still cheaper than the dealer. Anyway the new windshield didnt fog up as easy n was more quiet so it worked out good.

Hey Scotty I'm brazilian and I'd like to talk a little bit about the Jeeps made onver here, in Brazil: they are a piece of junk not because they are made in Brazil, but because the company (Fiat Chrysler) only makes pieces of junk See, the first Honda Civic's that were made in Brazil, a few years back, were the second in built quality in the world, loosing only for the ones made in Japan. Love your videos. Thanks for all the tips

OK, I have a '14 Dodge Journey which I bought used from a private party one year ago. Two recalls, which I had taken care of on the same day. The local Dodge dealer is about four miles away. The recalls involved a supposed cruise control glitch and catalytic converter replacement. They reflashed the computer replaced the cat in under an hour. At 65, 000 miles - so far, so good. I'll keep you informed.

Never forget a kid in Jr High school that came to school in orange jeans claiming how they were the new wave of the future and someday soon everyone would be wearing different colored jeansReminds me of people who buy SUV's for that same reason. Only because they liked the color and for no other reason LOL

We had a 2005 highlander, it was a borderline lemon. Power locks failing, oil leaks, severe misfiring which took Toyota one month to figure out it was the crankshaft position sensor. In the meantime they changed plugs, O2 sensors, and both catalytic converters. I was disappointed, we got a Honda Pilot now, its good.

So it wasn't long ago where Ford motor company would populate a good percentage of the worst list. So Scotty, is it possible that out of the three American domestic manufacturers Ford has actually improved the quality of their vehicles or have the other two completely drop the ball when it comes to reliability?
