well really if you go back and look at the industry indexes the Auto industry is one of the industries that have fallen off the cliff it's been going down for something here so you can go back and look as many years as you'd like but you will pick up a pattern of a big down slide especially in 2019 coupled with the fact that the biggest competitor to new cars happens to be used cars and the biggest competitor to both is the repair Market has in when people don't have a lot of money they tend to fix what they already have and they don't buy anything

Ill stick with my paid for 2019 Avalon Limited Hybrid with the Advanced Safety Package, just crossed 8k enjoyable and serene miles and my 2018 Highlander Hybrid Limited Platinum package that just crossed 30k equally pleasant miles. and my 2008 Solara SLE convertible, on a trickle charger, with 36k miles purchased brand new (all fluids changed last year - transmission, coolant, brakes, steering. scottysavage, since the Solara has an interference engine, should I go ahead and change the timing belt?

Hi Scotty I have a 2005 Peugeot 407 sw that I bought almost 2 years ago. To be honest it has always run great but it gives me shitty gas milage and it's only a 1. 7 petrol. Their is a slight blow in the back box. Do you think if I change the back box I will get better gas millage? I change the oil regularly and I have recently changed the spark plugs, tyres and filters. Thanks Scotty.

In the early 60s Honda raced a 1. 5 liter V-8 in Formula 1. I can't remember the numbers on that engine, but it was powerful at extremely high RPM. It is no longer used. It wouldn't meet modern rules. Also, let's not forget all the brake pad and rotor/drum residue we leave behind. A few more weeks and I'll be back on my Trek bicycle. See you on the trails.

Hey Scotty, I have a 2013 Subaru Legacy with 36, 735 miles and a CVT transmission. Sometimes when I shift from park into reverse there is a loud metallic clang sound. Do you have any idea what this could be? I cant wait to sell this piece of junk and get an older Tacoma or Ford Ranger soon. Love the content

If some brands of tires don't wear (because over the years the car is not driven much) the tread rubber will get hard and provide poorer traction when you really need it. So be extra careful out there esp when it starts raining and you are running on still great old tires.
