Scotty, Love watching your Videos, and listening to most of your advise. But do you have a Speech Impediment? Some serious reason why you can't say Hyundai, pronounced exactly like SUNDAY, but with an H? Not with a Silent H HUN-DAY. not YUNDAY I've owned Three Hyundai Cars. Two Sonata's and one Elantra. All three for over 100K miles, with Zero Engine troubles, including my current 2014 Sonata, that I just did the routine maintenance on. In fact, none of the three have had ANY breakdowns. Fantastic Cars, and longer warranties than Toyota or any American Manufacturer gives standard. My 2. 4L Engine is still strong, has no noises, and the Transmission shifts smooth, all accessories still in 100% working order. The new Genesis G70, G80 or G90, is something I would love to purchase. And although they are top rated Cars in their class, they are still a bit beyond my price range. The new Sonata Limited, with all it's bells and whistles comes pretty close to a Genesis, so when my current Sonata matures a bit more, I'll probably go look at getting another one. Keep up the great Videos, keep a open mind, Toyota isn't the only Manufacturer that can make long lasting cars. Most Cars will last if you just properly maintain them, and don't beat the crud out of them driving like a nutjob.

I have the 2012 Hyundai Genesis 4. 7 v8. Got it with 104, 000 miles and have put 9, 000 miles into it since. Ive noticed their is a problem with a idel. It does idel rough, shakes a bit. And constant electrical issues, my side driver side mirror no longer closes or can move mirror with buttons. Driver and passenger windows sometimes dont want to go back up. And Radio wont start sometimes. Although it had its issue I love the tourqe on it and looks. I admire this car as well because you dont see much on them on the road so their a bit unique to see. Overall it really hasnt given me any mechanical problems and was definitely worth buying on my end. Hope to either replace it for the 2012 genesis 5. 0 or a Lexus in future with lower miles

The variable valve timing cams are slightly worn on this car at 105, 000 miles. So, the car is not yet at the engineering level of Lexus. Yet I need to see a large sample size. Is this true of all the Genesis cars from that generation? What role did driving habits play into this car? Is he like an older, mild Lexus driver who books events at the butterfly pavilion, never missing on the car maintenance? Because, on this Genesis I see NY state plates and a Haiti flag dangling from the mirror. I envisage a heavy footed Rolando who might not have always stuck to the maintenance schedule when he bought it.

Genesis I would say are on par with Lexus, Acura, Infiniti at this point. In order of reliability: Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti and Genesis toss upIn order of fun to drive: Damn, I'd put Genesis and Infiniti first then Acura then Lexus. Kinda comes down to the model on this one. Acura super handling all wheel drive is pretty nice and with the Model S type coming out with the twin turbo v6 and super handling all wheel drive should be a beast but Infiniti and Genesis use of rear wheel drive I'd give them the overall advantage until Acura puts super handling all wheel drive on all models.

Scotty I've got a recently bought 2008 Chevy Colorado 3. 7 5 cylinder with 180k miles for 3600 4x4, should I put money into lifting it, are these good trucks? I see many with 200k plus miles. I also bought the same day a 2002 4x4 4 cylinder extended cab Tacoma with only 140k miles that I know will last forever but its so small inside I really don't feel like daily driving it. Also the Chevy has a weird small surge problem over 60mph that I think is the fuel pump but I'm tempted to sell both and get a lower milage Colorado or Silverado, what do you think I should do?

On that Hyundai Genesis I believe that is the 3. 8 l v6. that particular engine used to be known for having issues with timing chain adjuster failures. if there's a little bit too much slop in the chain it could also cause a slight wiggle in the VVT system. You also might check to see if this may be simply normal for this engine perhaps this system is not as stable as others or operates on a different principle. Slight vibration at idle you could also check coils wires plugs and fuel injectors that tends to be aware those things show up the most.

2013 Hyundai Genesis owner here. Purchased in 2015 with 35k on the clock. Fast forward to today and I have 130k miles and I have only had 1 repair to date (antilock brake servo manifold) - replaced with used part for around 100 and 30 worth of brake fluid. Mobile 1 oil, factory Hyundai oil filters, air filter, tires and recently, a new battery due to age. One of the BEST undervalued cars currently on the market. It's also a dead ringer for a late 2000's S-class Mercedes Benz. In 2015, I paid 19, 500 which was WAY less than half price from the sticker.

Korean cars are not bad mechanically but the materials they use for the interiors are GARBAGE. As you can see in this video. I have seen it with ALL the Korean brands. Even the more expensive KIAs. The top of the dashboard cracks, the leather interiors cracks and fades. Things get broken with daily use. It does not matter if you are careful or not. Simply put, Koreans cut corners with the interiors of their cars.

Hi Scotty, have a 2004 BMW 330ci with 130 KM. Car was passed down from my dad and is in great condition. Do you think its worth keeping a few more years to save some money or should I consider selling and leasing a new Toyota corolla hatchback (standard)? I know you think bmws are full of plastic, but mine has been babied and nothing has broken down yet. Greetings from Toronto, Canada.
