The vast majority of Wranglers and Gladiators sold come with Standard Transmissions. Most of the people who buy those vehicles are traditionalists or conservatives. And the the problem was caused by the Clutch manufacturer not telling Jeep that they changed the composition of the friction material on the clutch disks, and the new material is not as Grabby causing slippage and heat build up in some vehicles. I do not know if they are replacing the disks with original facing or if they are putting in pressure plates with heavier springs, or a combination of the two.

Let's lay it out for the public to understand. 1-6 weeks from now. 729, 000 cars recalled. 6-9 weeks from then. 271, 000 cars recalled. 9-12 weeks. 419, 000 cars recalled. 12-14 weeks. 126, 000 cars recalled. 14-18 weeks. 750, 000 cars recalled. And that's just FCA. ford will have similar numbers. GM will mirror those numbers. Just goes to show they cant build a reliable car to save their life. It's the way the business is run. Build, recall, lay off. Pay millions to the executives who OK the decisions that inevitably cant avoid the process stated above.

I have a 2014 jk unlimited rubicon and it has been great I bought and off the lot literally hammered it right outta the box. It goes everywhere. With the ac on lol. And when I snapped a shock the warranty covered it ran it through 3 feet of mud and smoked an alternator and the battery. Put it on a tow truck to the dealer covered in mud. They fixed it. Charged me an hour labor because they had to pull the radiator was packed with dirt. I will never sell it. And with all the abuse it has taken you would not believe where and what that thing has done.

I have a 2011 Chrysler T & C touring with the touch screen. I hate it. The old dials just work better when your trying to drive and I am a techie. I am a computer engineer. That's my thing. but when it comes to cars driver inputs should be as simple as possible and in modern cars it's debatable. Often times this technology complicates the driving experience and god forbid if the stuff breaks. I know I sound like a crank, but seriously to me it's just more trouble then it's worth.

FIAT's are quite reliable in Europe, my dads partner has one with 500k on the odo, still going, only had one glow plug replaced under warranty, she puts on heaps of miles on it due to it being a work vehicle, its a FIAT Qubo, not a FIAT fan really but just saying, it's a bit deceiving calling them unreliable, I would take one over a Mazda or Honda any day, plenty of problems with them from my experience.

We dim the touchscreen on our 2016 Silverado, because it has a popup which tells us not to be distracted while driving. By 2025 the new models will no longer have these screens. They are terrible. They hide whatever you want to find. You have to pull off the road and find the printed manual to figure out access to a feature. Also, the radio never shuts off, so you have to turn the volume to zero.

2: 30 Ya darn tootin' I've been saying the same thing about touch screens for a while. It's one reason I don't want a car stereo that has a touch screen. My current stereo has physical buttons and a physical remote (it saves buttons on the head unit. I can easily press the off button or turn the volume control knob (or controls on the remote) without taking my eyes off the road.
