Toyota Just Changed the Game 00crashtest: Toyota will redesign the Camry by 2024 (most likely 2022-2023 given past cycles of 5-6 years. They won't be able to change the style much even if they wanted to. It'll probably only have minor cosmetic changes (aside from a hybrid powertrain likely coming standard) because if you look at Subaru, the 2020 Outback is only slightly different from the 2015 Outback, which is slightly different from the 2010 Outback. You wouldn't know the Subaru Outback has been redesigned unless someone told you. They totally look like facelifts instead. I think we've gotten to a point where styling couldn't be redesigned significantly. I wouldn't be surprised if cars 100 years later still look the same as today's. After all, airplanes have looked the same since the 1950s.

Toyota will now suck even more, the next year and beyond. Shame on the Sienna, being re-designed into a crossover and being re-named the Venza as a hybrid. These Venza's are the ugliest Toyota's, I have ever seen in my life, same as the NX 200 from Lexus. They should discontinue the most-reliable brand in the market, terms of re-design and more problems with the engines and the transmissions. Also, the same thing with these brand-new Honda's and Acura's - discontinue these brands as well. I am hoping that Skoda will arrive in the brand-new North American market, as soon as these brands go. We want to be more European brands, that are more reliable than these Japanese brands, from back in the day.

Hey Scotty, I wanted to send you a question but not sure how, or should I just comment here? There goes nothing anyway. I want to know if car sickness could be lightened by going for softer or harder ride cars? My wife has a kind of severe motion sickness, and we're planning on getting our first car soon. Probably will be an old used Skoda since they are the safest here with reliable-ish life, just need to know if I should go for a smaller one with a harsher ride like Fabia, or a bigger one with a softer ride like Octavia? Also, sending love from Egypt, love your content

You know, recall and reliability rates are always called into question - Toyota apparently has 'fewer' recalls than most other brands. I least, that is what the rumors state. Well, of 15 brands observed since 1980, using recalls to sales ratios (NOT total recalls - Toyota sells less than other brands, Toyota was actually ranked 7th best. they are behind Kia at 6th, Nissan at 4th, and GM at 3rd. Number 1 is actually Mercedes. For year to year numbers, Toyota saw an increase in total recalls of 275%, and Chrysler saw a decrease of 87% from last year to this year.

I will never forget going to the chevy dealer with my dad when I was a young kid to look at the citation. He actually kicked the tires My mother bought a 79 rabbit. Against his wishes. My mother sunk thousands of dollars into her rabbit. My dad bought a chevy pickup. My dads pickup blew the engine at 95K. He bought a Rabbit GTI. My brother bought my moms 1979 rabbit and drove to over 450, 000 miles. My dads GTI lasted to 270K, and my brother bought that one and raced until he sensible wife said no more racing in cars with our kids in them.

Hey Scotty, I have a 2007 Honda Accord v6 (6 speed manual) and it makes a grinding noise at 1900 rpm in every gear, but drives great. Ive heard it could be a heat shield, but I cant find anything loose. Any idea what it might be? Also thanks for the videos, Ive learned so much and havent taken my cars to a shop in 3 years thanks to you (And also because I drive a manual Honda)

My grade school friend's grandpa owned a green 80 citation here in Wisconsin. It wasn't pretty. And rusted in all the obvious places here in the rust belt. But I understood why he owned it when he took us on a road trip. It was cheap fairly reliable car. I think he kept it until the wheels finally fell off.

So glad I got my V8 Tundra this year before the V6's. In a few years, if proven reliable, I MIGHT consider the V6 turbo (MIGHT, but I will NEVER buy a V6 Hybrid truck. especially if it is turbo-charged. Turbo charging and hybridizing a V6. whoweee, that equals MONEY PIT as Scotty would say.

I live in Nova Scotia. My Camry is 6 years old and the battery is fine. Before that I had an Elantra for 8 years and never had trouble with the battery. I had a 323 for 11 years before that and had to change the battery once. I can't imagine having to change the battery every 3 years.

Just bought a 2013 Civic Si. All stock except for lowered suspension by the previous owner. Two questions: 1) for 13k+ before tax, how overpriced was it? 2) Suspension might be too stiff for me, should I revert back to stock suspension?
