Hah, those rear brake rotors always get stuck on Chryslers. Idk what it is about them but any time I try to remove them on a Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep they are always stuck on there, even on Texas cars. And the last Jeep I did was in fact a Texas car 2wd and the issue it had was the emergency brake wasnt holding but the rotors were stuck on there. Brakes were fine otherwise. So I just wedged my pry bar in between the brake rotor and the mounting plate and sprayed some brake cleaner in the shoes and then it started working again. So I got lucky there.

Chrysler products: strong front brakes, crap rear brakes. Ran into the same thing with 2 different 2004 Durangos, had to replace rear pads every 40K miles and rotors every 60K, although the front pads lasted close to 100K miles and front rotors were still good past 125K miles. Of course this is also in the southeastern US, so no salt on the roads to rust them.

nice brake job I cant believe that you work without a shop/lift. I use the old brake pad as against the piston when pressing it in. It avoids damaging the rubber seal and aligns the piston. It also creates a stop. BTW what ever happened to give away Monday. I thought you would use that to clean out the garage.

Hey Scotty, since gas prices keep going down and down do you think other oil products will come down in price? For example I see motor oil is exactly the same as it was months ago, will companies start to drop prices on these oil products?

I am watching this from Quarantine/Lockdown in NYC. Scotty's consistently energetic voice is so calming as the body count goes through to the roof here. Thnx Scotty, a much needed distraction from the constant monotony of bad news.

Great Video Also, I find that removing the Master Cylinder Cap allows the Caliper to be pushed back in easier. Just make sure to re-install and step down on brakes a few times before moving the car. Greeting from Grand Island, Scotty

Hey Scotty. Thanks for showing us how easy it is to do a brake job. It's cool that you let your customers bring the new parts. Many of the mechanics here in Pittsburgh won't go for that since they prefer the mark-up in price.

For 200 plus shipping included You get new pads and disc. This way you not worry about if you need to Resurface the disc. It's just cheaper DYI all new then going to a dealer or shop
