i m mexican. i d rather buy from mexico than from some one ( china) that will soon take over the USA. see all around you, Scottie. the chinese have a scheme they just wont tell you. regardles of you say, Scottie i dont even know why you are supporting or encouraging chinese mearket when you are an american. i m not american but i wish the usa d walk away from chinese dependence. again, let s think thrice before buying goods from china. those people are financial pitbulls. they are as sick as walmart is.

Two Westerners living in China, on the Youtube channel ADVChina, point out that Chinese products made for the US and Europe are better than products made for the domestic market. This is because the western wholesalers are more demanding. Note that Harbor Freight may have multiple product numbers for the same item, this difference is solely due to the manufacturer chosen. It allows HF to more easily identify the supplier with less defects.

I give you good example scotty. I am chinese, and works in canada as mechanic. Funny things, when you do alignment, sometimes you have to put a camber bolt to put it back to specs. Those bolts sole to customer 49. 99 each. But they all made in china, i wnet back home in January for new year. Luckily i saw exactly same part that in there, only, 7 yuan each. That just little over one buck. But i north american. Profits are 49 times more.

I am betting that if the manufacturers compensate their workers/suppliers in China or Mexico the equivalent of their American counterparts, the quality will increase to be the same if not better than US made. But consumers want CHEAP, the car manufacturers want HIGH profits, so they employ cheap labor. We all get the end result of cheapness. Really has less to do on where it came from. IMO, of course.

Bought a new Napa Chinese water pump for my 05 Grand Marquis. It leaked within a year. Swapped it out new one leaked after a few months. Paid double for a new one at the dealer and after several years it isnt leaking. Also on same car put a Napa upper control arm from china on and one of the bushings came loose. Yes all these parts were installed correctly. I will buy from the dealer from now on.

China didnt get to where it is on its own. ALL of its progress came from (TPTB) deindustrializing the West, moving all of our factories and expertise to the Corporate Promised Land, and using trade arbitrage to finance the build up of these ultra-modern plants and supply chains. All while the U. S, U. K, and E. U. die from sepsis of the body-politic and lack of industrial investment.

The problem with Chinese parts is one greedy jackwagon in management decides to go cheap and ruins the whole line of products, just to make a quick buck. Find a dependable retailer, if its too good of a price its a knockoff (another China problem since their patent law is crap) that could kill you. When a part arrives, test any sketchy looking metal parts for hardness as well.

The problem is you dont know if a part is quality because most of the vital parts, bearings etc. are hidden inside the component. You dont know its bad until it fails after so many miles. All you can go by is prior reputation but that is no guarantee. Warranties are pretty meaningless because most of the cost of replacing a part is the labour to remove and install it.

Thats true about the Mexican parts cause at gmc and Buick the engines and parts are made in Mexico one of the guys was putting a can cause one of the lifters was rubbing on it and that car only had 32k miles on it he told me that we get some with even 10k on them with that problem and if u look at where all the engines and parts are made at it says Mexico
