Here\'s Why Hondas Have This Serious Problem Mark: I will stay away from any of these Honda's, both older models and newer models, including Acura. I am hoping that I should go for an older, 2006 Kia Sorento EX 4WD mid-size SUV instead, because it only has the 3. 5 L V6 engine with 192 horsepower and it has the five-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift capability. These older Sorento's with the 3. 5 L V6 engine and 192 horsepower, can last for a long time, if they are well-maintained and if you do not go for the 2003 or 2004 model with the four-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift mode. These early model years for the older Sorento, are well known to mechanical problems and they age so quick - the 2003 and 2004 models are the ones to avoid for the 3. 5 L V6 engine with 192 horsepower. It may be the same with the 2007 to 2009 with the 3. 3 L and the 3. 8 L V6 engines with 235 to 263 horsepower - the Hyundai Santa Fe at these model years are more reliable than the Sorento, if you go for the 3. 3 L V6 engine with 242 horsepower and the five-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift capability, not the 2. 7 L V6 engine with 185 horsepower and the four-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift mode. Finally, that is my rant for this video.

My 2010 Accord EX-L 4 Cylinder Automatic has been making that same annoyingly loud rattling noise on startup since the 40, 000 mile mark. It's now closing in on 240, 000 miles and it still makes the same noise, but it has not caused me any major issues. I use synthetic oil and change it every 10K. I haven't spent any money on repairs for either the engine or transmission in 10 years of owning this car. She runs extremely well. Looking to go far past the 300K mile mark. Everything under the hood is original except the starter, spark plugs, battery. Great, reliable car.

My wife's 04 Camry has been making rattling noise after cold startup, since 80k miles. It's got 240k miles now but still makes the same noise. I'm not too concerned and doubt the VVT will break. It's just a quality and design problem. There is a pin pin in the VVT that locks the VVT when the engine stops. The pin is activated by oil pressure to unlock. Unfortunately it just quit locking. No big deal. I've used best premium oil, so it's not oil related. Engine is clean inside.

This guy seriously cant stand Tesla. Haha. To whomever asked that question, go test drive one. Its a reason theyre the most valuable car manufacturer in the world. Trust me. Electric cars will rule the industry. Ive been an automotive technician for 12 years and if you asked me about electric cars 6 years ago, Id deny them but at this point, its just the honest truth. We should have did this a longggg time ago

Scotty, Im down the road in San Antonio and I have a 95 Toyota Avalon 185k AT. All fine until recently started making noise while in gear and stopped. Noise only present when in D or R and foot on brake, sounds like engine is struggling. Runs, shifts and drives flawlessly, otherwise. I cant pinpoint the origin of the sound. Any ideas? Im thinking clutch? Your Videos are Superb, Please, keep em coming.

BUY THAT ALLTRACK I've had three VWs and they've all been flawless. Rn I'm driving a Touareg and its the smoothest and nicest car I've been in in awhile. As refined as Mercedes and Lexus. The Alltrack is a great wagon for a good price. You won't regret buying one. My friends Honda Civic and My moms CRV have had far more issues than all three of my VWs combined. Don't believe the crap.

My Civic's got 68, 000 miles on it, it's a 2004 executive auto, theres no noise's & nada wrong with her at all. Went to the Honda dealer to check out the new Jazz, sure its a great car and apart from all the mod cons etc, my old Civic's as good as a new one Tip use the right oil for your Vtec & like me you'll probably never have to put any in between oil changes ('; xD

Hey Scotty (and comment section): Scotty loves Toyotas, and I do as well, but I'm looking to buy a new (to me) car, and all of the Toyotas in my area are out of my price range. I live in an expensive area, and use cars cost a good amount. What other brands are good to look into, and what line of vehicle is good? Looking for sedans specifically.

Word of mouth swears by Honda's. I've had 3 Civic's in my lifetime and maintained them according to manual. 1 Civic burned 1 quart of oil every gas tank fill, another Civic the crankshaft went bad and motor died. My Ford Escort has outlasted all three of my Civics with same maintenance. Never buying a Honda again.

I've seen plenty of front drivers stuck in the snow. They don't get around any better than a rear wheel drive does. 2 wheel drive is 2 wheel drive, front or rear. All wheel drive is what you really want in the snow. My 06 Crown Vic does great for a rear wheel drive car in the snow and I'd take it over any FWD.
