The Truth About Buying a Luxury Car Abso: Well in Reno and Las Vegas Nevada, every panhandler from New York to California is out and about perusing on foot coming up to people in their cars looking to scam those that have anything worth getting(especially the wealthy). Maybe if the local authorities did more to control that nonsense than more wealthy people would be less worried about being taken advantage of as soon as their nice luxury vehicles come to a halt. When a study is done in a giant shithole city, it gets the results of a study that's taken in a giant shithole city.

people should, ya its not the law anymore and it still should be, but people should yield to the cars. who gonna get killed? not the car. when the law was changed to yield to pedestrians, instead of cars ignoring pedestrians and not being courteous and only courteous, pedestrians are the ones walking out into traffic blindly without making sure they are not gonna get run down. ive screeched to a halt far to often for people who arent even looking at me while im screeching.

Hey Scotty, I have a 1986 Toyota SR5 DLX pickup, it's got 4WD with manual locking hubs, but has springs behind the hubs and to get to them you need to take the wheel off. The only problem is that not one mechanic I went to, (5 in total) has ever heard of this spring. Does that mean all I need is the manual hub to lock into 4WD? I can't find the spring anywhere and the truck doesn't have any vacuum tubes to indicate automatic 4WD shifting.

I had to explain to a friend buying a luxury car means hes going to spend luxury car prices when it comes to maintenance. He shrugged it off until. he needed an oil change and the cherry on top new struts. He told me 3 shops denied him or gave him an obscene quote. In the end he paid an obscene amount of money at a stealership for struts and an oil change. Later traded that car in for another luxury car.

I had a 1984 RX-7. I loved it it would stumble and stall. I tried all the adjustments and replaced the fuel relay. then one day I noticed that the automatic vent closer was stuck closed. The carb was choked for venting and the gas wouldn't flow. I removed the rubber stopper and it ran fine for years. In the day the dealer diagnosed it as a carb problem, and wanted 1500+labor to fix itI fixed it for free

A guy in our condo that drives a Cadillac drives the wrong way along one way only passages through the underground parking. There isn't room for two way traffic and there are blind corners. I know that he knows that what he is doing is wrong and dangerous because I have complained to the board numerous times and I am certain that they told him to stop. He won't stop doing it.

I always wonder why more people don't use their turn signals more often, or use them correctly (putting on AFTER you're in a turn only lane isn't very helpful. It's SO difficult, yet makes driving others who DO signal so much easier, especially if you're looking ahead and/or planning how/where you're driving/turning, etc. RichE San Diego, CA

A Finnish study found that most buyers of luxury German cars are considered disagreeable people. Is it true? I don't know but here in Ottawa Canada, my experience is that most -NOT ALL- German car drivers think that the rules of the road don't apply to them and that they have the right of way at all times. How is it in your part of the world?

Scotty, I found a 2006 Lexus GS 300 with 75, 000 km. The previous owner had made yearly inspections and maintainance at the Lexus dealership with bills and a service booklet that proves it. The car is on sale because the previous owner died. It's for sale at 11, 000. Is it a good purchase for the price or is it overpriced?
