Does anybody know how I can find replacement headlights that are good quality (but not overpriced) for my 2000 Toyota Solara? One of my headlights is broken and is only staying connected by the wiring and some Guerilla tape. I don't have the knowledge to replace the headlight assembly myself, but maybe I can save some money by supplying the parts for the mechanic.

Toyota taking queues from GM with that headlight set up. This is why I love Ford, to change a headlight assembly in my Mustang it is 4 bolts and about 5 minutes. Fords are the easiest to work on by far. Other manufacturers seem to sit around and try to think up ways to make things way more complicated and harder than they need to be.

Headlight assemblies in the UK normally quote no bulbs included, maybe to stop people asking for refunds for dud bulbs. My old Honda Civic required you to totally remove the bumper to change the headlight, so opted for Plast-X and Turtle Wax sealant instead. it kept them respectable and was less hassle than sanding and spraying clearcoat.

It helps if you put a dab of Dielectric grease on these connectors. Especially if you live in humid or wet climates. It keeps the moisture out. Scotty doesn't have to worry about that so much he lives in Texas where your standing knee-deep in a flood and sand is blowing in your eyes. LOL but they do have those cowgirls yeehaw.

I wish it could be that easy. Here in EU you'll get big fine on the road and your car doesn't pass technical inspection, because these aftermarket headlights doesn't have right EU approval. We have to manually restore the original ones or buy OEMs and of course the version for EU. US version is the same problem: -(

Scotty, please help. Where would I get a headlamp for a 2018 Buick Encore? The blinker doesn't work and they want over a 1000 for the headlamp replacement part only (plus labor. The headlamp is clean and clear. Could I just replaced the blinker? . They are telling me no. THANKS

I had some badly faded covers. Used some toothpaste with baking soda and peroxide and a damp sponge. Cleared off probably 80-90% of it. Cost was 2 bucks and change at dollar tree. Then used some blue magic lens sealer (less than 10 bucks) and called it a day!

Wow! Replacing your headlights with brand new ones wi make your headlights brand new. Because they are brand new. Makes sense but might be a lot more expensive than finding a good used one in a junkyard from a less sun intense area of the country.
