I sold cars for Toyota at a dealer in the US. That was probably a big city market where customers are calling daily about when that Supra will touch down and be available. That dealer may only get 1 Supra. For the whole year. Or they get one at a time. When you sell one you can order another one kind of thing. So when there is that much demand for the car the value goes up. This isnt a Corolla, its a really nice 40-50k car that sold for 2x as much because someone wanted it that badly. Anyways I dont know what happened here exactly but I would be careful to judge that strictly as greed. It seems sensible enough to me. The value of that car is subjective to a large degree. To Scotty it isnt worth paying sticker price. To me, I cant afford it. To someone else its worth 100k.

You can buy many many things with 100k. Different people choose different things. If you want to pay 100k for a car you will. If you dont want to simply dont do it. Buy something else. Thats the price of the vehicle and you are no one to change it. There are tons of different cars out there. Not to mention the fact that the Mark IV Supra was 100k when it was released and now everyone loves it? BMW gave the engine but Toyota told them what to do. If you think there's a pure new Japanese car I will shake your hand. Its like complaining a Ferrari f12 costs 200k and I cant afford it. People have different budgets and buy things that are in that budget, not crying like kids. Its not a scam the car costs 100k, if you like it buy it, otherwise dont.

How about you people quit complaining and be glad that they brought it back as a sports car, not an SUV like Mitsubishi with the Eclipse Cross and Ford with the new Puma? 'Cuz I know people would rather have a BMW engine in a Supra sports car rather than a Toyota engine in a Supra SUV. And for everyone doubtful of the BMW engine, keep in mind BMW sourced the record-setting McLaren F1's V12 back in the day. Following the 'BMW Supra' logic, shouldn't you all be calling the McLaren F1 the 'BMW F1' instead? God, people need to quit whining. We get it that you're not happy with the BMW engine. Now shut up.

Man I love Toyotas but I absolutely hate going to a Toyota Dealership. Been to 4 different ones and they've all been annoying snakes. I would come for a specific car they listed and these sharks would all be like ohhh that's a good deal. very popular. a lot of people have been asking about that one. lemme see if I can find itAnd then they ALL be like oh hey it's sold out but how about this one? It's about the same price. Might not be a Toyota but it's pretty close. And then sometimes they say that car is sold and then bring a MORE expensive car instead. Bad news that one's gone too BUT we have this NEWER one A bit more expensive but it's better than those other two=_=

Scott youre respectfully wrong that all it is a BMW. Toyota and BMW literally partnered to build the engine in that car. Its based off a BMW design but Toyota put the engine through the ringer and broke the crud out of it over and over like they do with all their own engines. They made very well certain it would be a reliable car. The cars vary in enough ways, after the bones were built each manufacturer did their own thing with it. Unique suspension and transmission too I believe. So they handle differently and I believe theyre tuned differently as well.

What the Toyota dealer ships are doing with the new pseudo Supra, is no different to how the snake oil sales men of old scammed people, the kind of person willing to part with twice the amount of money the car is valued at, is a person that would try to stroke or pet a wild Lion while on safari, its evolution at work, no true fan of the Supra would buy a badge engineered BMW, both company's are targeting those that have more money than sense.

As a truck driver. I see the electric cars happen more faster to small cars then truck( frome7. 5tones up, thats like where trucks start. it will need huge baterys to pull, 25tones, 30, 40, etc. Up hill whit that weight and over 30 degres celsius outside, those baterrys will heat like crazy. Ore if u take for example russia at -30+ in winter. Hard time the electic trucks will have. I see them really far away to reach the diesel trucks.

Akebono ceramic pads leave almost no dust at all. They also are worthless as far as stopping goes, in my opinion. I put some Akebono pads in my Brembo calipers, and the DISMAL stopping power negated having Brembos in the first place. Hawk pads are your best value. Powder coat your wheels with a glossy color as possible. Glossy black works very well. The glossier the better. The brake dust sticks way LESS to gloss

Scotty I've been looking at buying a car recently, and looking at states close to me. Illinois apparently does not keep track of mileage through state inspections or oil change services. The amount of Carfax reports I've seen from Illinois with no mileage data on the report is astonishing. It's just asking for foul play. many cars for sale that are 10 years or older, with only claiming 40, 000 miles lol.
