One of my coworkers has a Fiesta with one these transmissions, and apparently no dealership in our area at least will take it as a trade-in even though their car isn't having issues as of right now (I'll have to get more info on that. I also have another co-worker that has a Focus with that transmission and has had the clutch packs replaced once about 2 years ago or so and now currently can't drive the car since the transmission has gone up in it again and it's been sitting in her driveway for some time now. Any suggestions on what they can do?

Is anybody else seeing a similar picture here? ALL car companies volks wagon ford general motors and so on. knowingly LIE THEIR ASSES OFF because they are too greedy to fix the problem before it becomes a lawsuit. This happens because they dont care about defects as long as they get your money first for the shareholders. They dont care if the company goes bankrupt the shareholders got the money out of it and only the company is liable. This is how they are driving these companies into the ground deliberately.

Ford used a useless auto gearbox in the focus-cmax, i believe it was the 1. 8 diesel In Europe -where the engine used in the car developed more torque than the gearbox could handle therefore the boxs were failing- ford totally shafted the buyers by denying the problem then refusing to sell the part required to fix the boxs and only selling a complete unit at an extortionate rate - then they discontinued selling the boxes thereby making all the cars scrap

thank you for talking about this scotty, my parents lemoned their 2013 focus because of this exact issue, but I know a lot of people who still buy fords bs and keep driving em anyways. I worry about them getting shoved out in front of a transport because the transmission bucks at a red light or something. it needs to be recalled and I really hope the current lawsuit makes that happen. ford needs to address this, no question about it.

In my youth I was a Ford man but after owning several Fords and Mercury cars and trucks I have learned to hate Ford. Everyone of the Ford products I have owned has had a major repair needed right after the 12, 000 mile warranty was up. I was raising a family at the time and this caused a strain on my wallet and marriage. Then I found out the repair department was screwing me and this was the last time I purchased a Ford product.

There was a death with faulty seat belts in Chrysler cars many years ago. A girl died in car crash as a result. Chrysler knew the bests were flakey but still released the car as doing a recall for the seat belts was going to cost too much. I will never buy American cars That is so sleazy a girl had to die for them to admit it all and it took a lawsuit to release the info they paid off people to keep quiet of the faulty belts.

Scotty, it always cracks me up when you are talking about a bad car and insert a picture of a Cruze. My son bought one new in 2014 and has maintained it well. It just passed 100, 000 miles and he dutifully had the timing belt replaced. It probably helps that it is a manual. I've been telling him it is running on borrowed time and to start looking for a replacement but you know how often kids listen to their parents

Hi Scotty great videos by the way. I would like to give you a heads up I've noticed that in a couple of your videos that you called the ( NHTSA ) National Highway Traffic Administration the wrong name you have been calling it a association. It's a Government Agency with Policing powers. A Association is a voluntary group of business. There's nothing voluntary about the ( NHTSA ): -)

Hey Scott man HOW and I just say HOW. HOW do you explain the Dodge or Chrysler owners who SAY they have gone 300k no problems. Or 300k with the original engine, transmission. Or 300k only replaced only the Alternator, la la la? HOW do you explain those Dodges that actually gone 300k. Is this FOR REAL that they gone that far. Sometimes people do exaggerate
