This Car Makes Me Want to Sell My Toyota Celica instantkarma1978: My 1990 Integra LS sedan absolutely smokes my friend's 2001 Celica GT, both 5 speeds, mine has 380k miles on it, his has 150k and burns a quart of oil every 500 miles. Only thing my Acura has ever needed was an alternator, pair of driveshafts and a couple of timing belts. Original AC compressor is finally getting a bit noisy, but it still works, never even added any freon to it.

We had an 89 integra with pop up headlights. Little 1. 5l 4 cylinder. 4 speed manual. Wish we still had it cos in 180k miles it never broke. Swear down in 180k miles we only replaced the usual consumables. And it was still comfortable enough that we didnt need to dread getting into it. Poor car got stolen for a few weeks aswell. Yea the radio and ignition got ripped out and we started it with a screwdriver and a different radio got put into it but she kept on going until we sold it in 2006. The best cars my family has ever had are both hondas. The integra and a 1999 accord. Neither needed any engine or gearbox work done bar the clutch in the accord. That says something about how well made they are. 230k miles on the accord too

Thats a car on my wish list but a type r mostly stock. Scotty you should do a vid on 90s Japanese cars and how they are better made than most of the cars today. As a fellow mechanic i found those cars easy to work on. I have a 97 accord with over 230k that runs better than my 05 civic which has 174k on it issue it has is the head gasket issue from that generation of civics. If it wasnt for the lack of money and wife objections i would have more 90s cars. My newest car is a 2008 tsx love the k24 power and has over 100k no major issues worst issue was a bad ignition coil that was an easy fix. Thank you scotty for all you do i learn some thing new from you every video that helps me be a better mechanic.

I had a 1997 Honda Accord 2 door SE it had over 250, 000 miles on it when I happened to see a 2003 Accord V6 in the dealer lot it had 96k miles on the new to me one. Anyway back to the 97 Accord the AC was original too everything was except the auto tranny that the dealer screwed up when they replaced the radiator. All the fluid leaked out while I drove home 40 miles down the interstate. They refilled the tranny but 2 weeks later it started slipping so they put in a new one for free. I had the original axles too normally those break the CV joint normally fails unless you keep closet tabs on the boots and replace cracked ones and have them clean out the dirty grease and repack it.

I'm 58 years old I had a few cars in my time I found that those Japanese cars last and last change the oil make sure the oils allgood make sure it's not burning oil don't beat on it you just a proper Mickey mouse maintenance nothing nothing serious and your car a Japanese like a Mitsubishi like what I got will last and last and last I checked out how long does a Mitsubishi Montero LS sport 97 last how long before I'll need it said indefinite as in you can keep that Mitsubishi Montero and get lots of miles so what I have 200 and something and it runs good

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Montero LS sport cheap months ago I put Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil in it because I heard that was the best oil you can get for a car and I always was good with my oil Harley burnt anything at all I check it two months later and the dipstick is dry there's no oil in the car completely dry no oil? So I went to my old faithful Castrol 20-50 regular oilI'm filled it up and it's still full I check it every day it's still full not burning any Royal like before so I guess I can't put synthetic oil in my car or it'll make it disappear?

I bought my '92 Integra with 133k miles in 2004 - Now 225k miles and still driving it today. Only regular issue I have had with it is the distributor. It likes to go out about every 5 or so years. But it's a simple fix replacement that I (a non-mechanic) can do in about 10 minutes. My interior still looks pretty good, no rips or tears although I do try to Armor-All it at least once a year (something I still need to do this year) The paint is starting to go though, but my engine looks better than that one lol.

A good friend of mine gave her 1996 Acura Integra (115K) a few years back, got it fix up and running, utterly loved it. A month in, I visited another friends house, came out and it had been stolen It was found 3 months later messed up and stripped. I told my friend what happened and we haven't talked since. I can't look at one without cringing nowadays, loved that car, one of the best. Don't think I could get another one though, too painful. Sorry Becky

Hey Scotty. 1st, I LOVE your videos and your humor. Awesome job at keeping people's attention. Thank you for that. But, not to toot your horn, but the Acura Integra was only made until 2001, for North America anyway. Not 2006. I've had 4 of them among my 80+ cars I've owned. Hopefully you were talking 86-2006 production for global purposes and I'm just being picky. Regardless, this is yet another good video I enjoyed watching. Keep em coming

I personally think that Honda are better than Toyota as theyre not so boring. Ive owned 5 Preludes and cant remember any having an electronic fault except an ignition relay needing the solder redone in fact the 1991 Prelude I wrecked and sold for parts I was unable to sell any electronics cos they never crap out. Honda electronics are the best And Hondas handle very well.
