Here\'s Why New Cars are Bad for Your Health julini: Good information Scotty, one of my electronics professor used to be in the navy way back during wwII era and when they eventually came up with radar systems, some crew members used to hang out by the radar equipment believing it was safe, he however heeded caution from an older tech telling him its new technology (then) and its effects were not known yet, sadly all of the guys (according to him) who hang out by the radar later on passed from serious illnesses. He was just cautioning us to be careful around new technology. The same can be said with asbestos, when discovered it was the best thing after sliced bread, and was widely used in construction as a super fiber. It was only decades later that it was found deadly to human health. Its always best to exercise caution near new technology/discoveries, your very life/health could depend on it. Even simple items like microwaves in the home, your best defense is distance, standing right in front of the glass does not make your food heat up faster, if its shield fails or leaks, you could be in for a nasty surprise later on in life. Stay Safe out there people.

Hey I thought it was just part of the regular maintenance on my old Dodge Spirit. Oil change- CHECK, filter change- CHECK, tire rotation- CHECK glue mirror back on -. has it been 3 months already? wow. CHECK It became like a time bomb for my passengers. It would fall off at random, in a dramatic and noisy fashion, scaring the other occupants to death and I wouldn't flinch. SAVAGE Until I had time for the quarterly maintenance of gluing it back on, I'd just set it next to me and hold it up to see out the back window. I will have to say that the mirror itself must have been made with space-age materials. I don't know any other car part from any manufacturer that could have withstood the number of drops without breaking Almost like a board meeting, it was discussed. Designer_01 - Well we have the numbers on the mirror. We can design a mirror that won't break no matter how many times its dropped and use cheap glue or a cheap mirror that may break while it's attached but use really good glue so it never comes off. A timid voice speaks up. Executive_01 - Why does it have to be either-or? Can't we make a great mirror and use great glue? The room is SO quiet for 2 moments that it seemed like the entire room was holding their breaths. Then it erupted with primal yelling. HR Office Rep_01 says How those types get by our strict hiring standards, I'll never know. Sorry for the confusion. Please continue. Executive_02 I am looking at the numbers here and It looks like it will cost us 5 dollars extra to make the Indestro-Mirror, but we will more than cover that loss on the first batch of glue we sell the owner? The aftermarket glue costs 27 cents and we sell it for 19. 99 and owners will need a tube every 3 months, or even more often in places where the temperature fluctuates more than 2. 1 degrees in a day, has humidity over 5%, or states south or north of the Mason Dixon line THAT IS THE CRAZIEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD shouted Lee Iacocca with a stern look on his face. Everyone looks at him not realizing he had entered the room. 'I heard the yelling from someone being dragged from the room and knew I had to come down here before you guys made ANOTHER major mistake in your planning. I am SO glad I did because this idea with the glue is the craziest thing I've heard since golf this morning. We'd be crazy to ask less than 39. 99 for that tube of glue Everyone cheered, and Lee called over one of his assistants, Go get Mazda on the phone, tell them I have a glue they can buy from us for only 20 dollars that will make them a fortune

Hey Scotty, I bought a brand new off the showroom floor 2014 Mazda BT50 Trayback ute 2x4 3. 2ltr Diesel 6spd manual Hiboy got 60, 000 on it and had to take it back to Mazda on a recall cos a few months back I was driving down the road doing round 60mph when the doors just flew open brought a great gust of wind in the car and sucked the roof consol clean out, nearly sucked the roof lining off. I had to ocky strap the doors to the back tray shut, put a small aquaprop in the middle to hold the roof up to drive it back to mazda, they replaced everything but told me it was a design flaw from factory and could possibly happen again. Well too hell with that, I ain't going through that again, got the dang thing up for sale, going back to my trusty old 84 toyota landcruiser. Something else I forgot to tell you, the airbag on the steering wheel has been recalled, just as well cos the dang thing blew off while at a mates place telling him about what happened to the doors and roof, the damn car is jinxed Cheers. Jono, Humpty Doo Australia.

Wow, 19, 000 views in 2 hours? Amazing. I remember when you only had about 8, 000 subs, look at you now. Well, I know your an excellent car mechanic, but I need some advice about my 2000 Yamaha 250 bear tracker. Whenever I try to rev up to accelerate, it boggs down and sputters and back fires. I took apart the brand new carb 5 times now, took off the top end and cleaned it because it was loaded with black carbon, I've tried adjusting air fuel mixture to no avail. It idles perfectly fine and starts okay. It was running rich so I adjusted the float. I've removed the hand brake sensor that others seem to have had problems with. Nothing I try seems to work. I even checked the CDI box, adjusted timing 5 times, adjusted for proper gap on the head, cleaned carbon out of exhaust/silencer. Nothing I've done has improved its performance. The only thing I have not done yet is try a new spark plug simply because I live 120 miles from any stores. Please help. Thank you. Oh yeah, the color of my spark plugs spark is orange.

Hay Scotty I have a 2003 GMC Yukon with 100k miles on it I had a misfire in piston 4 I took it to a mechanic because I was traveling and in a hurry. I generally like to take a look at my own car and see if I can fix it first. After I got back the mechanic wasn't there but said I could take my car and that it was ready I paid for it and started up the car and a very loud banging sound kept happening. I was angry I took the car back to my house took the head off (which I could tell had happened) and found a bolt and a nail in piston 5 and 7 What can I do? He says he didn't take the head off when I can clearly see the gasket is new

Alright, seriously; they need to cut that feature (radar sensors) out of new cars if it's going to impact the health of the mechanics or people working on those cars. I'm all about safety, but common sense goes a long way (as far as paying attention to the roads, I've made my mistakes, I'm not perfect either; but still, due diligence) and the people working on those cars deserve to be safe working in their environment without being exposed to radiation that you wouldn't expect to confront unless you're an x-ray technician or orthopedic doctor in the operating room with their staff. lol.

I drove a brand new car for the first time fresh off the factory and took it straight for a long drive. I got sick right after. I parked it in my garage then drove it again after a week. I got sick again. I got sick again and again every time I drove it for about a month. I know now it's because of those plastics and polymers still evaporating toxins (that new car smell) that come from its manufacturing.

My first new car was bad for my heath. Very bad. Not because of some dump sensors but because my having OCD and obsessing over every little crease in the leather or scratch in the clear coat drove me nuts. The car is broken in a year later but I'm still kinda fanatical about keeping it new. Everything ages but watching something you spent a lot of money on slowly depreciate really sucks.

When radar sensors was still in RnD for cars around 1997 they did mention about the dangers for long term exposure. Then around 2010 they came out with another study saying it's not dangerous as long as you don't spend 24 hours exposed to the sensors. The issues is as more cars have this technology of radar, pedestrians will be exposed daily however long they keep walking outside.

hey Scotty I drive a 94 k1500 z71 with the 5. 7 and my valve seals are shot. I get used oil from the shop for free being a mechanic. do you think I should still take my heads off and clean the seats with some compound or do you think that would be problems? I don't trust anyone when it comes to my truck but I've been watching your videos for some time and I value your opinion
