This Cheap Chinese Crap is Actually Good Mix Pick: One of the few if only times I disagree with Scotty. I don't care about brand but get quality and build up with that line of tools if your young and fix or build chit yourself. I got brand X that cost a bunch up front but has never broken in over 20 years. I tried cheaper stuff at first and only got pissed when it didn't work, botched the cut, or didn't have the power I needed when I needed it. I'm talking cordless power tools like impacts, drills, circular saws, etc.

I bought a harbor freight cordless drill and light combo on a whim in 2013 for 16 and the battery is ni cd not lithium. Both the drill and light lasted almost 6 years of constant use. I used it every other 2-3 days for almost 6 years straight until the brushes just ran into the ground but the rest of the electric motor, bearings, switches, battery, circuitry, and leds in the flashlight were all fine. I was extremely impressed, it was my first cordless drill and it was only 16 for the junk. Bought it and said if it lasts at least 4 months of constant use I'll be happy, lasted 69-70 months. I dropped that thing down my roof into the driveway by accident but it only cracked the outer housing and it worked just fine just kept using it. It was called drill master but I actually bought a Makita just before it died because it was super cheap and I knew it was going out and holding it in hand atte store was just a different level of quality. Overall I'm somewhat of a cordless believer but for anything that requires a lot of power I will go with my corded one.

I'll be honest for 20 the DRILL MASTER18 Volt 3/8 in. Cordless Drill/Driver Kit With Keyless Chuck, 21 Clutch Settings thing is fine for just small carpentry work. I used it for a bathroom renovation and a utility room renovation ( mostly replacing paneling and some light framing) and it lasted about 200 1 1/2 inch dry wall screws worth on a single charge with some random hole drilling. I does have enough power to turn a 1 inch spade bit through a 2x4 for running electrical and pex through as well. I also have used it to spin fasteners out on my vehicle after I break them loose because I'm lazy. It's been about a year and a half and it still works fine, Although I would suggest a second one just to always have a battery charged if you use it a lot because the battery takes 5 hours to charge from dead lololol.

Scotty, I have the old style 18 V. Dewalt. The battery hasn't been used for some time and I wanted to keep it charged to avoid going bad. 2 = 18V. and 2 = 7. 6 V. When they will not take a charge, don't throw them out. Charger red light blinks rapidly, indicating will not take a charge. Hit it with another battery even if it is a little 9V battery + to + and - to - for a few seconds 5 or 10 is good. Now it will take a charge. feel free to share.

Thanks for the Video. Your right, you just have to be careful what you buy. When I was still working, I changed departments and needed some new tools. Not that far away from Retirement, I didn't want to spend a lot of money, so I bought Harbor Freight. Let me tell you, those tools made me a lot of money and are still going strong all these years later. Nothing will last if you abuse it, it doesn't matter what brand it is.

I have as Rigid cordless, but actually I also like corded drills, power tools. But it has a lifetime warranty, even the battery. But you have to jump thru the hoops, you have to register it, write down some number they give you, and keep your receipt. Which to me is no big deal. I haven't had to use my warranty, but my brother used his a lot more and got a free battery after a few years.

My headlight covers are bad. I tried restoring them but am unhappy with the results. Driving at night is very uncomfortable and I want to use my high beams a lot. Should I buy new covers or a new headlight housings for my 2007 Chevy Impala? I am confused about LED, halogen, and HID lights anyway and would like to fix this problem without going broke. Do you have any suggestions?

So i bought flex Grinder that said on the box (made in China) from HFT, The flex shaft broke and needed a replacement part. Had to get from grizzly Industry tools. Grizzly Industrial tools re-brands Chinese products and sells it for Union prices. same thing in this case. It's not made by Dewalt but Dewalt is probably made by it.

The script has flipped. Alot of the of the Made in the USA stuff I find in stores is crap quality, with the Chinese equivalents being better made i. e. more precisely machined and durable. I think many companies are banking on Americans buying their stuff, no matter the quality, if they just slap a US flag on it.
