I think its a pretty safe bet that very few people if anyone outside of the US has ever heard of JD Power, let alone gives a dang on what they have to say. Theyre just a domestic scam used to artificially inflate American-made products because they know that very few people abroad all over the rest of the planet will never go super-out of their way to own a US made vehicle unless they had a cult following to them like if someone in Japan or Germany decided he wanted to collect classic 50s Caddys or Harleys. Otherwise, no one Ive met in all my travels overseas really loves & wants American cars or could ever care less if an American award company calling Chevys reliable.

I always though JD Power awards were retarded. Id never seen them actually review an actual car, who are they to say they knew anything about cars? You know a car manufacturer is absolutely desperate when the only awards they can advertise is their JD Power award for Initial Quality. It means that they never won a real award, and that after the Initial Quality period has passed, their quality has gone to sht. Otherwise it would be called Lifetime Quality and not Initial Quality.

J. D. Power is a mixed bag. Totally true about their initial quality reports. Not good. Their V. D. S. is fortunately based on statistics from vehicle owners who actually report real issues. The V. D. S. is much better than the initial quality, but still not perfect. Unfortunately Consumer Reports is not much better. Better to do your own research on any models you are considering, regardless of brand. Every brand has mistake years and models.

Hey, Scotty. Could you please rerecord your opening audio? The sound breakup distortion in the middle there is driving both me and my son crazy. Thanks. Otherwise, great as usual. Regarding Mercedes cars. Ive had two. Loved them but you have to either lease so you switch them out every three or four years or ditch them after 6. Even my Mercedes contacts told me that. They are a wonderful experience brand new.

So any automatic transmission can be going bad if your car is slow under a load like a hill? Had this on a Lexus with known transmissions problems. But it never had any issues if not under a load. Was butter smooth. Also JD Power award lol I saw this on a LG washing machine that the salesman tried to sell me on at Home Depot. I was laughing cuz I knew it was BS. Congrats on the channel success great stuff

I have been saying this since 1987. Ranked highest in initial quality during first 90 days of ownership. Right. Even the lowly Yugo GV could have satisfied such criteria before bowing up on Day 91. Put it together, people. Nearly all of us own a vehicle for more than 90 days. Consumer Reports represents the true benchmark of most vehicles reliability. DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE to convince you otherwise.

I dont trust things like consumer reports. They rated the Tacoma one of the worst pickups cause it was noisy and rode rough. Its a pickup truck not a lexus. There are lots more examples of this. Only way to go is talking to other people and learning their past experiences as well as going off of yours. If you bought one brand and it never had a problem, then that brand might be a good one to choose.

Remington typewriter: and I suspect that test by JD Powers was sponsored by some joint cabal of IBM, NCR and Corona with some dumb name like Society for the Advanced Functionality of Typesetting Devices. Im more surprised that they didnt lobby congress to pass a regulation that consumer typewrites must pass a certain height drop test. for safety purposes. Ive been in California too long.
