I Ranked All Truck Brands from Worst to Best Daniel Garcia: Ford trucks are good. My parents drove a 95 f150 only changing the oil once a year for 15 years. Never kept up with maintenance till one day I told them its time you upgrade. We ended the truck at 376, 000 miles, sold it for 1kTruck needed alot of work to be road safe Water pump RadiatorTransmission Ball joints Just a whole lot. My parents are not into having vehicle service till it breaks down. So I always recommend them to always buy a ford since they dont keep up with maintenance Ford just keeps going Buy a Ford truck If you not into maintenance

First of all you're wrong about the HEMI being a gas hog. For instance, we made a 900 mile round trip to Virginia in July heat with 3 adults and a 6'4 bed full of stuff and averaged 23mpg. And that's with a 390hp HEMI in a RAM 1500 4wd. We love our 2011 Grand Cherokee HEMI Limited and my 2014 RAM 1500 HEMI Limited. The interior of my RAM beats all others hands down. Some of these new trucks look like they just rummaged through a parts bin to finish out the interiors. I also love my 4 corner air suspension and 8 speed transmission. And for what it's worth the new Chevy 1500 exterior looks like it was late on a Friday and they just said The heck with it. I'm tired. Just build it anyway. I'm going home. To each his own, Scotty

I have worked and worked on the Ford 4. 6 and 5. 3. They are good engines but need serious maintenance at around 130-150k due to internal design and poor oil flow as the oil pump wore out. I have seen these engines with 200-300 miles. I have not seen or heard off one reading 1, 000, 000 miles. The Toyota 4. 7 and 5. 7 are much better engines matched with the Aisin designed transmission, it is a tough act to follow. I would much rather have a Tundra based on reliability than a Ford truck based solely on the engine design and reliability. Bells and whistles and foo-foo things, definitely a Ford. What does ISIL/ISIS drive in that unforgiving climate Chevy and RAM are garbage

I never agree with what you say about Silverado's. In my experience they are great trucks and do what they were designed to do which Is to be a work truck. My brother has one with almost 400k miles, It has the original engine but the transmission was replaced at 296k miles. That was only because the truck Is always used for construction, It tows thousands of lbs. More often than most trucks. Ford and other truck manufacturers are making them mostly for people who only want to own a truck but never or rarely use It as a work truck. His truck Is a 2006 2500HD Extended cab.

I bought a 2018 F150 with a 5. 0 and had a bunch of problems with it. The differential made a loud clunking noise at start up, the motor had some rattling noises when cold upon letting go of the accelerator, the engine was burning oil, and that Great 10 speed transmission shifting is so jerky it doesnt know what gear it is in when you drive it The worst truck I have had and Ive owned a lot of trucks in the past. I got rid of it cause I didnt want to deal with all the hassle of multiple trips to the dealership service garage. I say get a Tundra

Cant go wrong with a Chevy truck the 6. 0, 5. 3, 4. 8, 4. 3 engines are great as long as its been taken care of. Dodge, a 5. 7 hemi is legendary cant go wrong. and a dodge with a Cummins is like going to heaven, its an outstanding power plant. Ford F150 is a beautiful truck as long as its the 5. 0 or a well taken care of 4. 6, 5. 4. Eco boost is a little risky. Nissan is an understate mated pickupAnd finally any Toyota. cant go wrong

I bought a used 14 f150 ecoboost. It had 90 thousand miles. I took a chanced and bought it because I was blown away by the power and acceleration. I put an oil catch on it day one and not a single problem. It now has 187 plus miles on it. Never have I had a vehicle that I can honestly say I never had to repair anything. Before this truck I had a 05 tundra. It was my favorite truck but I dont see myself going back after this ford.

Ford and GM are walking hand in hand re: quality/lack of with their trucks. Ford has engine oil consumption issues and GM's the dreaded AFM lifter failure. Ford has been sued for their 10 speed and GM for the 8 speed automatic. Both leagues ahead of RAM quality/longivity wise. Tundra is midevil age old but they have no major issues. Nissan? See one every other week or less they are so rare around these parts.

I have a 2017 F-150 XLT 4x4. Its my company vehicle. I had the choice of all five trucks. I chose the Ford over the American name plates because Ford didnt take the Obama bailout money. And Fiat/Chrysler havent paid back 10B each. I rewarded Ford for that. I have the 3. 5 Ecoboost. Ive had 30 trouble free miles. I just recently ordered my next truck as we get rid of them by 140k miles. I chose another Ford.

I hate to tell you scotty but the 5. 7L hemi and 8sp in the RAM is probably the most reliable drive train combo on the road right now. The rest of the RAM truck is meh. I say this owning 2 Fords currently and Toyotas in the past. Ford screwed up the current gen 5. 0 pretty bad. The ecoboost is better than it used to be but not 5. 7 hemi reliable yet. RAM also just beat out GM in truck sales. Think about that.
