When I was 18, Facebook was introduced into my life. I used it for a bit, and then I stopped. Much of my family, and school friends were very much into Facebook; however no matter how much I tried to get into it, I just couldn't. Facebook made me feel depressed a lot. People would update their lives, and honestly no matter how personal it was; I felt left out. I only say that because the big question is: Should I know about these people's lives all the time? Is it really my business even if it could be a relative or family member posting? I thought about that for a long time. and it turns out my answer is no, I shouldn't be knowing all of this. In real human communication, we all have a filter towards everyone we talk to. We only give out certain information to certain individuals, and most people are mere acquaintances, so our info on our lives don't go that far with the face to face interaction. EVEN if they are apart of the family in some sort of way; we just don't spill the beans to them like we do to our partner for an example. Social media doesn't know those kind of filters. You would have to literally talk to everyone on a private IM where the public can't read any of it to keep it decent; but even private IM's aren't the best either because it lacks real human interaction. Also, social media has lead many people feeling like they have to sound the horns of their life, and if no one hears it or makes any sort of good comment; they feel they aren't anything. People have egos that starve them from feeling fulfilled, because they were taught in a very wrong way of how to feel loved. You don't need approval when you water your flowers, or pet your cat, or get a new car. You really don't. You just got to be happy for yourself that you did it, and you don't have to worry about what others think. Other than the privacy issue, Facebook and other social platforms are doing all kinds of other damage to people.

Compromise a bath house Hilarious. Hands on a US senator? Yeah, they are not untouchables, Phil. We should not only be able to touch them with pat on the back whenever we wish, shame on the traitor secret service for stopping that (secret service needs to be disbanded and the members tried for treason against the American people) we should be able to freely throw our old dirty shoes at them if whenever they dare show their criminal faces in public. Phil, this unwarranted respect for known liars and criminals just because they are in government is part of the problem here. We are Americans, any in government should be viewed with complete disrespect and scorn. That is the American culture / history. Politicians are lower on the social ladder than convicted pedophiles (in Rubio's case, he mostly likely is also a pedo, just not yet convicted. American Up, Phil. The British Russian nerve agent story is complete BS, just like the Russians influenced the last US presidential elections nonsense. May is not trustworthy and there has been zero actual evidence yet provided.

Alex jones is pushing his ideals into the media, didnt even let Rubio respond; jones interrupted rubio by asking a question for Rubio, just after Rubio says The-(which btw, could easily transition to the Democrats situation, answering jones question)then Alex jones interrupts with disgust and criticism. What I find more so weird is that Alex jones is just standing there, no mic, no camera, no recording of his own, but still stand far too close to Rubio? And pats his shoulder? To which Rubio politely asked and explained to not touch him. Jones interrupts by suggesting to Rubio to call police or security to enforce jones to stop. Rubio mentions youre not gonna get arrested, man. Ill take care of it myself which isnt clear to if he meant arrest jones, or to just not worry about the patting anymore. Alex Jones is jumping through hoops to get reactions and make himself the victim. To get back to where he was again, and digging himself a bigger hole or however the saying goes. I never did and never will support, watch, read, or pay too much attention to Alex Jones.

I still highly value facebook, in spite of the need to be cautious on its use. I live in remote alaska, and it serves as a valuable resource to communicate with my distant family and friends. I have effectively used it to blog about my life as a teacher in rural alaska. It also is used by the regional community at large still quite heavily - it tends to be about 5-10 years behind technology and trends. A final comment on a more widespread scale - facebook is not heavily used by the advertise demographic, but it is extremely well used by the voting demographic in the united states. Face it, young adults don't vote in the level that they should. Politicians will continue to speak to platforms with either the most money, or the most voices - the latter of which will be facebook.

I am constantly taking one hiatus or another from Facebook. Its always for different reasons, but it usually comes down to functionality. Has nothing to do with politics, ever. This time, the longer Im away from Facebook, the more I wonder why Ive kept it so long. I had deleted my account for several years until a family member convinced me to get an account again. This family member no longer interacts with me on social media, funnily enough. I havent decided yet, but I will most likely stay inactive on Facebook from here on out, (with the exception of big events that require making a large number of people aware, or possibly deactivate completely.

If I could delete the Facebook app from my phone, I would, but it came preloaded on it and I just can't. I never use my account anymore and haven't really since I graduated high school over 5 years ago. There are those friends who just share everything and all their drama and rants and I just don't care for it. I don't delete it though because there are several people I've crossed paths with over the years that are more than acquaintances but have moved away and it is the only way to get in contact with them. I personally prefer Instagram in which most people just keep it short.

I personally deleted my Facebook a month ago simply because I hate it. When I came to the conclusion that I was just using the app for messenger thats the same day I deleted it. Anyone who I would want to converse with has my number and to be honest I havent missed it once. My friends are constantly asking me why I have deleted and they just dont understand that I think its mind numbing. Dont get me wrong a lot of the stuff on the internet and the apps I use could be considered mind numbing to other individuals but Facebook has and always will take the crown.

I'm one of the people who removed the fb app from my phone. I just found that it had become a vortex of toxic bs and I ended up liking Family and friends less based on shit they posted. I just found that I didn't need that nor have time for that crap. Also it was getting tiring to shuffle through what was fake news and what was not. Now I just visit fb when I have alerts on things I care about seeing. And when I scroll I minimize the amount of scrolling I do so I keep myself from getting sucked in. Now I have all this free time and it's awesome.
