WOAH Youtube is Suing A Copyright Troll, Mulan Boycott, & China Ramps Up Misinformation Campaign Hum phrey: Sorry Phil and Americans but it's your government's fault. You gave China too much power despite knowing that they have no honor. You continually place your factories there because of cheap labor and everything cheap just to earn a lot. We here in Asia have been suffering so much from China's invasion, bullying, showing their military to scare us, their blatant taking of our natural resources for your factories in their land, etc. Your government and past government continually give China power to bully every small nation. I salute Hong Kong. I hope that they can fight China. We are trying to follow suit. Acquiring military assets to defend ourselves costs a lot but our supposed Ally, the US, has just been standing watch and giving China more economic power and technology to steal each day. I bet if China kills off Hong Kong citizens one by one or they disappear one by one, never to be heard of again, the US would just watch and build more American factories in China for pure capitalism.

Dear Mr DeFranco and team, In regards to the YouTube Fighting a Troll Story, in my opinion, based on what YouTube has wanted to do, this appears to be where it is they need to be on this side in this instance. Clearly. I do believe, however, that though this may be a perfect case to set precedent, that YouTube has to continue to be vigilant on a case by case basis, and that this one case referred to here is just one, and an easy one at that. My concern is for the one site slam-in that what happens to the honest, poor YouTuber that gets slammed for copyright-unjustifiably, that YouTube misses prosecuting? YouTube must maintain this constant active vigilance, without rest, and stay dogged in their put on themselves responsibility, which they decided to enact. And prayers for the Amazon, and all of us who benefit from her Beautiful animal diversity and the wonderful, wonderful oxygen which this RainForest produces. Till next time, Cheers

On the funeral home issue; it's a tricky situation. Yes, an employer should not be able to discriminate against an employee for being trans. The issue here is that the customer cannot be held responsible for discrimination, and any attempt to try would be foolish. Speaking frankly here, the vast majority of people are still wrapping their heads around this and find the matter uncomfortable. There are many positions in the workplace where a person dealing with the community at large can affect the business, and depending on the community itself, it becomes problematic. This is a situation that needs another decade or so for the social climate the shift more towards where the average person is no longer nonplussed in the presence of this. It's going to take as long as racial civil rights and women's suffrage, from their specific inceptions - in my opinion.

4: 13 It took this blatant and aggregious ABUSE of the copyright strike system for youtube to give a shit about the problem, after millions of youtubers openly calling for youtube to act went ignored for YEARS. You will forgive me if i don't praise youtube for actually bothering to do the right thing, after refusing to do so all this time. They don't get a medal for fixing their shit, 10 years after complaints started coming in. They should have been fixing the copyright strike system abuse from the very first complaint. Millions of dollars, over years of such abuse, has been fraudulently claimed by not only private users, but also companies. This is long overdue, and i will applaud when youtube puts an end to the copyright strike abuse once and for all. Not before.

I agree with the notion that a boycott on Mulan domestically could benefit it in mainland China. The Chinese theater market had steadily been growing until the first half of this year and national pride is extremely important to the Chinese people. So if a movie with Chinese actors made in or about China comes under attack via a boycott. I wouldn't doubt the people would go out in mass to show their support. Considering Ne Zha just eclipsed Avengers Endgame in China in 6 weeks at over 602 million and going. Which is higher than the Aladdin or Lion King domestic box office. It could easily counter balance any hit a boycott would do in the domestic market here and still break the world wide 1 billion box office we've come to expect from Disney releases.

Okay, so is everyone just gonna ignore the fact that there was a ridiculously simple and OBVIOUS solution to fix the issue of the whole trans case? Just change the company's female uniforms to pants (Like, come on What is this - the 1950s? Mostly EVERYONE wears pants on a normal day-to-day basis) I mean, it's not that hard. I swear, some people are just so dumb. smh, I'm so disappointed in humanity. we were SUPPOSED to have invented actual hovering boards by now. but NOOOOOOOO We just HAVE to keep getting into petty little arguments Tsk, tsk, tsk. I WANNA RIDE SOME FREAKING FLOATING SKATEBOARDS

Disney and Hollywood will bend over backwards for China because of how much of a big market it is over there, and the fact they allow very few foreign films to be shown in their theater. This is why you see more of China or Chinese actors in films now. Disney won't make a statement because they will be afraid of saying the wrong thing, especially now if the people in China will see the movie out of spite. They see this as an opportunity to make money, they don't care about Hong Kong at all and will keep their mouth shut over the matter, letting their Mulan actress comments slide.

People try to discredit these protests in so many ways, one of which being that 1-2 million people is not even a majority of Hong Kong. Remember though, that over 90% of Hong Kong works in the service industry, which means that a significant amount of residents didn't attend because they didn't have the day off. If you consider that everyone who attended are just the unemployed, elderly, students on summer break, those with mon-fri desk jobs (less than 10% of the working population, the self-employed and those on their off days, this is a huge turn out.

My thoughts on the copyright trolling. by his mere swatting of individual content creators, that put their lives and lives of their families in danger, because when police or swat show up at a resident, they don't know what situation they're going into. The Youtuber who is being swatted or their family or neighbors may have a cardiac or asthmatic attack from the stress. Their reputation in their neighborhood be damaged to the point they may have to move. They may be accidentally shot by police.

Hear me out, but i do not believe he should be protected in this decision. The point of uniforms and dress code is to prevent distractions. Dressing out from your biological gender is a huge distraction. But in my opinion, if you are seeking transition, once the transition has progressed past a point you then may dress in that fasion. Almost like a goal that individual has been pursuing and acheived. But in the meantime it is inappropriate in the professional setting.
